A few days ago, it started snowing heavily in the middle of the night, and since I, as a designated night owl, like to go for a walk quite often at late hours anyway, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to take a little hike through snow-covered streets, roads and paths to enjoy the full splendour of the white that had fallen from the sky in large quantities before thawing salt and snow shovelling would cause the white aesthetic to crumble the next morning.

Due to the deep snow, the walk turned out to be much more tedious than expected, but the scenic beauty and the pictures taken along the way and now presented here were well worth the effort.

Vor ein paar Tagen begann es mitten in der Nacht sehr stark zu schneien, und da ich als ausgewiesene Nachteule ohnehin gerne zu später Stunde spazieren gehe, ließ ich mir die Gelegenheit nicht nehmen, eine kleine Wanderung durch schneebedeckte Straßen, Wege und Pfade zu unternehmen, um die volle Pracht des in großen Mengen vom Himmel gefallenen Weiß genießen zu können, bevor am nächsten Morgen Streusalz und Schneeschippen die weiße Ästhetik in sich zusammenfallen lassen würden.

Aufgrund des tiefen Schnees gestaltete sich das Laufen deutlich mühsamer als erwartet, aber die landschaftliche Schönheit und die unterwegs geschossenen und hier nun präsentierten Bilder waren die Anstrengung allemal wert.

beautiful photographs, I have never had the opportunity to be in a place with snow, my country there is only one state from time to time.

Der Schnee war laut Aussage des Kobolds nicht stabil und dauerhaft genug, um zusammen mit der Kleinen einen Schneemann daraus zu bauen.
Wie gut, dass mir die Fotos gelangen, bevor ein Großteil schon wieder abgeschmolzen war.

No doubt, I love every details in your photos, especially, "the shadow holding in its right hand". What's a shadow! Really amazing guy, my friend! 😂

It's very great to see the snow while falling closely like this. It's really pure white..... The snow in your hand in the 9th picture is awesome, this makes me think about one of my sweet desserts, we shape the ice like this and pour it with sweet syrup or caramel or honey. Very yummy!

You know, I wrote this comment with excitement, my hands and body are tremble with happiness. It's overwhelming feeling... I, in fact, want to say more, but I cannot explain the whole things in writing...

Das sind genau jene Tage, auf die ich im Winter stets sehnsüchtig warte. Schon allein aus dem Grund, weil sie so selten geworden sind.
Doch wenn dann endlich die Landschaft mit dieser wunderschönen weißen Decke überzogen ist, alles so jungfräulich und ruhig vor deinen Augen liegt, dann ist es wie Genuss pur.
So manches Mal ertappe ich mich dabei abzuwägen, ob ich den Weg, die Wiese oder das Feld überhaupt betrete, um nur ja nicht die Idylle mit meinen Fußabdrücken zu zerstören.
Den hier, den interessiert nur der Spaß.

We had no snow last winter, although I remember very snowy winters as a child.
