Reflection Hunters Contest and the mirror of life

At the sea shore, I found a sandpiper taking a glimpse of the ocean. It had brought a wave onto the sand afterwards and it left a reflection. The bird sees himself in the reflecting water, this reminds me of the ugly duckling hehe.

This is my entry to the Reflection Hunters Contest and thanks to @olgavita 🌻 and @annephilbrick 🦉 for presenting this amazing contest to me.

Birds and wildlife don't to look into the mirror as often as we do, like while brushing our teeth, hair or anything really to see our own reflection anytime. Is this his first time seeing himself? The first time seeing yourself in a reflection must be weird. He must be thinking "Whoah! Is this me?"

When I saw it, I ran to all the lawn chairs that were further away from the water, to ask my mama if I could borrow her phone to take pictures since I only have a tablet which is too heavy to bring to the beach. ;)

Looking pretty, the sandpiper stood still and posed perfectly for me to take a pic of him! 😀
