Arowana "The Dragon Fish", So Expensive!

Arowana "The Dragon Fish", So Expensive!

Hi All,

The other day, I was out and about, taking a stroll around the neighbourhood, when I came across something quite extraordinary - a fish store! But not just any regular fish store, oh no - this one specialised in Arowana!

The Arowana Fish, also known as the Dragon Fish, is one of the most expensive fish you can find in the aquarium and fish keeping world. Not only is it a beautiful fish, with its vibrant colors and long whiskers, but its rarity and hard-to-find nature make it a highly sought-after species. It’s no wonder why this fish is so expensive and why so many people are desperate to get their hands on one.

Arowana fish are said to be symbols of good luck! It is believed that they bring prosperity and fortune to the people that have them in their home. They are thought to be the most powerful of all the aquarium fish and are a sign of good luck to many cultures across the globe. They are known to bring health and wealth to those who keep them in their homes. Arowana fish are also said to bring happiness and harmony to households and are believed to ward off bad luck and negative energy.

But be warned - this little creature will also ward off your wallets money! From their special diet to the necessary tank filtration, the Arowana will be sure to leave a dent in your wallet. The filtration takes here were composed of 5 different chambers.

I thought they were pretty cool, but there was no way I was going to spend $500 or more on one. I mean, some of them were even over $2,000! It's like, come on, I'm not made of money here. I guess if you're really into fish, then you can justify the expense, but it's just not something I'm willing to do.

The albino Arowana fish was one of the most in-demand and expensive fish in the market. It was highly sought after by fish enthusiasts and hobbyists alike, due to its unique and exotic colouring. This colouration was produced by a rare genetic mutation, and the scarcity of these fish only added to their value. As the fish grew in popularity, the demand for them only grew - and the prices skyrocketed! It wasn't unusual for the albino Arowana fish to be sold for thousands of dollars, making it one of the most expensive fish around.

The albino Arowana fish always reminds me of a certain Muppet: Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's assistant, Beaker. I can't help but imagine Beaker's wide eyes with the fish-like mouth. It's such a unique look, and the Arowana brings that same image to mind. It's almost as if this fish was directly inspired by Beaker's design. I can't help but wonder if the creators of the Muppets had the Arowana in mind when they first designed Beaker. Either way, it's a fun thought to ponder...

The albino Arowana fish definitely looks a little stuck up, like it's better than all of the other low class fish. Perhaps it is? After all, this type of fish is very expensive and you don't see it in many home aquaria. Its reputation is well earned, as they are known to be very hardy and long-lived. They are also known to be quite intelligent, and have the ability to recognize their owners and respond to them.

Could it be possible to fall in love with the face of an Arowana fish, and feel a connection that transcends words?

20230201_115705.jpg

This Arowana fish had a hefty price tag of 53,000,000 VND attached to it, so it was quite a hefty investment. Not only did the price include the fish, but also a tank and food to keep the fish healthy and happy. Nonetheless, you would be out $3,000 USD in total if you decided to take the plunge and get the fish. I couldn't help but be curious as to whether this purchase would be worth it - would it bring with it good luck, as so many believe about Arowanas? Or was this fish just too expensive for the average person? It was a difficult decision, and I was left wondering what the outcome would be.

Spoiler alert, I did NOT get the fish... hahahha

Thanks for reading my story about the surprise adventure at the Arowana fish store! I was amazed to learn about the expensive hobby of owning these unique fish. The store owner was so passionate and knowledgeable about the various species of Arowana, and I found myself drawn into the conversation. He showed me the different tanks and tanks of these majestic creatures, each one with its own unique personality and characteristics. I was surprised to learn that there are several different types of Arowana, as well as the cost associated with owning one. I'm still astonished by how much money goes into caring for these fish, and the commitment required to ensure they remain healthy and safe.

SO, how many Arowana do you own?

Hahah, Cheers

It's crazy how some things get super expensive and some things don't. A little fish that can easily die worth so much money. Amazing

Arowana is a fish that brings the best of luck to its owner. This I assume the reason why this fish is so expensive. My aunt who's successful in her career and blessed in her life has one in her beautiful home!
This must truly be a lucky fish!☺️
May good luck come to us, too!☺️
