RE: A Fair People

I remember fairs being fun, especially when I was trying to spend my parents' money on the attractions instead of my own. I'd meander to the North Idaho State Fair, except Idaho has gotten overcrowded, and everything is on fire in the Washington/Idaho border region so there is smoke everywhere. Although fair week might be a good time to see Silverwood Theme Park, too, with the crowds hopefully being drawn elsewhere. Hmmm. We'll see what the AQI is tomorrow.

I never went to anything other than the county fair until I moved to Louisville and that was a much more rinky-dink affair. Wasn't the ticket racket, you just paid to get in and could ride all you wanted, which I think is the only reason we got to do much at it.

We're under an excessive heat warning for pretty much the rest of the week, so I think I managed to catch it at just the right time. Don't know how much I'd count on the crowds being elsewhere, people seem to be coming out in droves for just about everything these days.
