The Freshness of the Early-Morning

In my post for today, I will be focusing on freshness in more than one way...

First of all I would like to thank @friendlymoose for hosting the #pobphotocontest over the past years. In his post about this week's round, he mentions that there have already been 166 rounds of this contest. But then he also continues to announce the REBRANDING of this contest.

From here-on, going forward, this contest will be known as the Friendlymoose Photo Contest. You will find all the information you need to know about this in his post.

Making a fresh start this week, he also decided to make FRESHNESS the theme for this week.

With that in mind, I decided to share some photos of a recent walk we had along the walking trail on the hiking trail at the Everton Waterfall. The Everton Waterfall is situated in the Outer-West area of Durban, South Africa.

It was an early-morning walk and we had some rain during the night.

Everything was wet and slippery, but I knew I would get some nice shots of the freshness of the early morning after rain.

The first photo, will also be my first entry to the new rebranded Friendlymoose Photo Contest.

I had to think twice to decide which photo to add in the first position as a entry for the contest, as I also like the second photo just as much...lol.

In the next photo, I liked the fresh appearance of the bright yellow flower against the background of the shiny wet leaves in the background.

Along the way, I found more colourful scenes as daylight started to penetrate the forest.

My aim was to capture the detail, getting real close-up and get a blurring effect in the background. At times I had to use my camera's flash as it was still relatively dark inside the forest, being so early and still cloudy.
