Let's Make Transport in Durban...SMALL!
Another topic from the #pobphotochallenge that got me excited this week!
This week's topic for the challenge is: SMALL.
Awesome! Here in Durban, South Africa, we have a "BIG" tourist attraction that is SMALL... Durban Mini Town!
Mini Town is a miniature replica of landmarks and activities in Durban.
Let's have a look at three forms of transportation as it can be seen in Mini Town
By Land
The first photo in this post will be my entry for the #pobpotochallenge.
Yes, a small passenger train traveling around the Durban area.
A little later I found another angle to capture the next image as it was passing over the bridge above the channel in the mini harbour.
In the next two images, the train is passing through a suburban area, just below a bowling club.
In the next two images the train is approaching the Central Station. I took the shots on two different arrivals.
Entering the station...
On the Ocean
Let's move on to the ships in the Harbour.
The first image is of a tanker, docked in the harbour.
The M.V. UMFLOZI, also docked in the harbour.
Another freight ship in the harbour.
By Air
In my last two images for today, you can see the airport in Durban Mini Town. You will notice the (smaller) airplane to the left in the photos, is moving around all the time on a mini track.
That's it for today, folks.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
