Breaking Waves on the Beaches of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.

If you have been reading or following my posts for any time, I am sure you'll know that I love the ocean. And whenever we go down to a beach, I cannot leave unless I have at least one shot of a splash...lol.

Today, I thought I'd share some of those photos with you.

Rocky Bay

Let's start with two splashes I captured at Rocky Bay in the Park Rynie area, South of Durban, and on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.

Amanzimtoti.

Let's move a little higher up, still on the South Coast though, but to Amanzimtoti.

I love taking photos on this beach as you often get some strong currents which makes for nice photos.

On this particular day, we had some bad, cloudy weather as well.

And then a little further down to my right...another one.

Virginia Beach.

The next photos were taken on Virginia Beach at Virginia Airport, just north of Umhlanga on the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal.

We were heading for the pier and as we approached, I saw this splash as two currents met

Some impressive waves were coming in...

We went onto the pier, watching some of these waves coming toward us...

The fishermen on the pier also started moving away from the end of the pier, because when those waves hit the pier, they sprayed over the pier. And if you stood at the very end of the pier, you definitely would be in for a nice "shower"...lol.

And on that wet note, we come to the end of this post for today.

We are on the East Coast of South Africa. It is the Indian Ocean.

Should be amazing tides along the coast at the moment, hope the visitors venturing into the water take heed.

Rip tides/currents expected with Spring Tides although I would not venture into the sea !LOLZ

Some spectacular places along the coast for crashing waves on incoming tides.

Yes, I agree. Visitors should take heed indeed. But people can get so reckless and they underestimate the power of the sea.

We also love the sea, but you have to respect it!

Looking at the sea no problem, swimming in it is. Many warnings going out with false ecoli readings, now private company involved to confirm municipal readings which is good.

Always respect the sea it teaches hard lessons in life when turning your back on it!
