An Early Morning at Clarke Bay, Ballito.

I miss the ocean!

Yes, that's right... I miss the ocean.

I know what you are going to say now... "You are living by the ocean and were in Umhlanga just last week, going for a walk at Umhlanga Beach! How can you miss the ocean?"

And yes, you are right, I live by the ocean and was at Umhlanga Beach last week...but my visit to Umhlanga Beach last week just reminded me how much I miss the ocean...LOL!

You see, it is the holiday season and the beaches are packed with holidaymakers. And as you all know by now, we don't enjoy being in crowds.

Things have started to calm down lately, so by next week, everything should be back to normal.

But while we wait for things to settle down after the holiday, I go down trips on memory lane instead of going to crowded beaches...

Looking at the post I shared yesterday, you might say Umhlanga Beach wasn't all that crowded...

Okay, let me show you how we love to spend time at the beach...what we consider to be quiet and peaceful.

During one of our outings last year we went for an early morning walk at Clarke Bay in Ballito.

Approaching the beach...

Our first view over the ocean, with the sun making its appearance in the early hours of the morning.
On the beach, you can see a little girl with her father disappearing behind the greenery while enjoying a walk on the beach.

Walking up along the beach, another view over the ocean. And as you can see, not a soul in sight. All we could hear was the sound of the waves coming in.

As mentioned, we were just in time to see the sun making its appearance over the ocean!

We spent quite a bit of time out on the beach, enjoying the freshness of the new morning and a variety of views.

We went down to the rocks and walked around on the rocks while I got some nice shots of this area.

I loved watching the waves coming toward us.

And then watching them break over the rocks...

In my last photo, you can see another beautiful wave rolling in toward the beach...

And there you have it. That is why I say I miss the ocean... I miss the peace and tranquility.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with holidaymakers coming to the ocean and having a good time. It is also good for our economy! But while they are having a good time, I prefer to spend that time looking for new places where it is more quiet.

And that's it for today, folks!

Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!

In the first photo, a good perspective is the sea. I just want to walk down this path.

Funny to miss the ocean when it's right there! :D But I get it. The clean views always have a calming effect on my. I never lived close to the beach. At least not close enough to just walk over. I did however work for an engineering firm where I did work that required lots of concentration. This firm was located right at the beach. I really appreciated walking along the shore towards the tram every evening to unwind. It was actually perfect for this! Thanks for sharing :)
