RE: Different Type Of Art

The piece you love with the houses is my fav too. I also like the one with the train.
I know, it's the art world, but I don't think who created a piece or what kind of frame it has should have any bearing on the judgement of the piece. Like you, it's how it makes me feel that matters. I've seen many pieces that were nice, except for the frame, which I thought took away from it and many are like that for me. I'm very fussy about how a frame enhances or disappears from the experience of the art.

Yay! I'm really glad as it's a lovely piece.
I'm so so with this. It should not have any bearing, but sometimes a bad looking frame or the paper they use between the canvas and the frame (I don't know what it is called in English) ruins everything and I have a very good example coming up in one of my next posts. If you want to buy the work, then you most likely are going to change the frame, but if you're looking at it at an exhibition, it can ruin the experience pretty badly.
I am fussy too in this regard and always trying to imagine what would the right frame look like, that would also add to its value.
