My Legality Journey: Pre-debut shoot Concept 1 - 1989 TS Version

"The best people in life are free." — Taylor Swift, New Romantics

If you know me, then you probably already know that I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan. I've been listening to her music for years, and she's one of those artists I never get tired of. No matter what I'm feeling, there's always a Taylor Swift song that somehow understands it.

So when I started planning my pre-debut shoot, I already knew I wanted one of my concepts to be inspired by her.

Choosing the album wasn't difficult at all. It had to be 1989 (Taylor's Version).

The biggest reason is that it was released on my birthday, October 27. I remember waiting for it to come out, and when release day finally arrived, it honestly made my birthday feel even more special. It felt like I had two reasons to celebrate that day. Every time I listen to the album now, it brings me back to that memory.

I've always loved the whole vibe of 1989. It feels fresh, carefree, and full of life. When I think of the album, I picture blue skies, ocean waves, salty air, and long walks by the beach. Everything about it feels peaceful, and that's exactly the feeling I wanted this concept to have.

I also love the beach, so it just made sense.

Whenever I need a break from everything, the beach is one of the places I want to be. There's something about hearing the waves and feeling the breeze that makes me feel calm. I don't even have to do anything. I can just sit there, look at the sea, and enjoy the moment. That's why I thought it would be the perfect place to bring this concept to life.

For this shoot, I wore a light blue dress that reminded me so much of the album. The color matched the sea and the sky so well that everything looked natural together. We didn't need a lot of props because the beach was already beautiful on its own. Sometimes, the simplest background ends up being the best one.

One thing I really enjoyed was how relaxed the whole shoot felt. There wasn't any pressure to act like a character or create a dramatic scene. I just walked along the shore, smiled, enjoyed the breeze, and let the camera capture those little moments. It didn't feel forced, and I think that's what I love most about these photos.

Of course, we still had our funny little struggles.

The wind kept playing with my hair. Sometimes it looked perfect, and other times it completely covered my face right when the camera clicked. We all laughed every time it happened.

I'm also very thankful for everyone who helped make this shoot possible. From fixing my dress to helping me pose and making sure every photo looked good, they all worked so hard. They made the whole experience fun and comfortable, especially since this was the first concept we shot that day. I couldn't have asked for a better team to start this journey with.

This shoot wasn't only inspired by one of my favorite albums. It's also connected to one of my favorite birthdays, one of my favorite artists, and one of my favorite places.

That's what makes it special to me. It isn't just another photoshoot. It's a memory I'll always be happy to look back on.
