A tour of my home village in southern Italy - Latronico

The view from the old town centre from one of the highest points looks out over the mountains in the background and the built-up area in the foreground. One of the best views in my opinion.

A walk through the historic centre, past ancient architecture and renovated houses. Detail of a window/door with a gate, very curious.

Also in the historical centre, one can walk along these narrow streets that are real labyrinths. We call them 'carrare', which really means narrow streets.

One more 'carrara' in the historic centre. One can see how these narrow streets were built using stones, in fact both the paving and the walls were made of stones and cement. No asphalt in the historic centre.

A photo of the panorama under the more recently formed urban agglomeration, which developed after the agglomeration of the old town. In the background, the classic mountains dominate the scenery.

Same photo but from a different perspective. This place calms me down and soothes my anxiety. For me it is relaxing to explore the old town and look at the view. I myself used to live in the old town when I was a child, then I moved to another area.

This is a photo of a sunset from where I live, from my house we can see this. I think it's fantastic, surrounded by nature and these crazy colours.

Here is a photo of a sunset about to begin. Once again nature and colours form a perfect combination for the eyes, in my opinion. Living like this is one of the beautiful things you cannot see in a city

A 5-minute drive from the village you can immerse yourself in total nature. Here we are in an area with a small waterfall and a kind of pond near the thermal centre. Immersed in nature, all thoughts escape.
ENGLISH VERSION
I wanted to present you with these photos to give you an idea of the place where I grew up. I currently live in Naples for study reasons, but when I can I escape to my home town to get away from the daily routine and enjoy nature.
All the photos are obviously my property, they are stock photos I had in the gallery but every time I look at them I am fascinated.
The village is at an altitude of about 880 metres above sea level, the historic centre has characteristics that are peculiar to ancient Italy: it is entirely built using stone and concrete.
The village lies on the slopes of Mount Alpi, which is part of the Pollino National Park: one of the most beautiful National Parks in Italy.
