mistaken graces : July 7 2026
dear nightwalkers and fellow photography enthusiasts,
what do you do when an unexpected grace was presented right in front of you? do you take it wholeheartedly without any questions? let this thought simmer in your minds for now, we will get back to it soon.

the photo above was the last taken for the day, this enthusiast was very much attracted to that bluish violet neon light on the right. but allow me to rewind to how the night started with a very tempting message from @chillquill.
dinner ta na!
(let us have dinner)

after deciding on a rendezvous point, this nightwalker invited housemate js and went on an hour long night walk to food. here are some of the highlights for this walk. photo above was taken midway, right outside a train station. minutes before 7 pm, the sky was showing the last scattered rays of the setting sun; let us peel off some clouds to see those rays. summer is really here, the long days are back.

just down these steps, we are inching closer to the rendezvous point where @chillquill was waiting. no wide park could stop these feet from moving ever closer to food. minutes past 1 hour, we finally arrived.
at the restaurant, we ordered food in hot plates with additional servings of unlimited drinks. and since the drinks were unlimited, we all took a trip to the drink counter immediately. when we came back to our royal seats, these bowls of golden corn soup came to view.

wow! this was completely unexpected! but i was filled with gratitude ingesting the soup with content. a few minutes later, fried potato and an unagi box was delivered. bewildered, these nightwalkers politely showed our order history to decline the seemingly mistaken offer. the staff then went to another table and delivered.
now here comes the trauma as the situation sank in; these corn soups must also be a wrong delivery. but how can we even return these? just look at the state of the soup, mine was nearly gobbled up. we wrongly assumed that these were part of the meals we ordered. i could not continue devouring the soup once that fully sank in. and to make matters worse, the patrons at the other table started complaining about the soup never served. it grew very awkward.
this incident would surely dock points to the staff who delivered wrongly. this will surely leave a stale taste to the patrons who never got the soup ordered. this left a foul mark to my appetite that night. this was one of the most stressful dinners i have had. no one paid for the soups in the end, we got a free dish out of it. but at the cost of what? peace of mind? was it worth it? what is the best way to handle such conundrum?
the earlier graces turned out to be perplexing problems.
note to self, never assume and be blinded by graces.
as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
