grocery hopping : July 8 2025

today is my down time i guess. without any clear walking plans, it surely looked like a grocery-meguri, a grocery store pilgrimage.

i was also secretly trying to find a good entry for a food photo contest. that was the subplot for today. so i started taking snaps of this burger joint. it looked good but is this really what @friendlymoose was looking for? i don't think so. still on the look out for a good food photo opportunity. i wonder how to do that though.

here is another resto or bar rather. just a special mention because this shop just celebrated a 2nd year anniversary. so happy for them, but i haven't really tried the shop. i'm afraid of difficult japanese conversations, and talks tend to speed up the more people drink up. no chance for me coming alone in this bar.

here were the grocery findings. a not so expensive rice spotted, it is such a rare pokemon these days. my bubble was popped when i learned that it only contained 10% japanese rice. the rest were all imported, that was why it was a lot cheaper. japanese grown rice would surely make this expensive.

the other product was a pain relief patch, a friend from the philippines wanted me to buy these for them. these are effective patches, circular ones great for those uneven and hard to reach surfaces. i brought some of these home for my parents last year and they were happy.

since i was just roaming around near home, might as well include this picture of the police station near home. i guess this makes our home a lot safer than others. we live near this police station, a fire station across the street, the city hall, and the post office. we are very much surrounded by government service offices, so what more can i ask for? i would like to ask for money, living here would be perfect with money. that was a bit random, but it is not wrong. money is not the only source of happiness, but a lot of happiness will be achieved with money.

oh well!
