what is it to be human? : July 4 2025
the night before the predicted dooms day and here i am absorbing everything in. not to be overly dramatic nor suggesting anything, here i was trying to make the most of what this mortal life can do just like any normal day should be.
before that, this is my favorite picture of the day, or night rather. it just shows how vibrant the city is even at night. always full of life and activity, who gets bored in a city like this. and with that thought in mind, i am submitting this to cityscapes contest in @photofeed. i'm sending over some busy and chaotic energy from ueno, tokyo.
now back to the entry.
let me reiterate, i do not believe in the dooms day prediction of japan, i just find predictions or "prophesies" baseless. and there really was no meaning attached to the "prophesy". i mean shouldn't "prophesies" have a why does it happen, or a how to prevent it from happening? this one was just flat, no call to action urgency attached to it. do i make sense? or am i just seeing too much movies? i am just blabbering just to justify why i don't believe it, and blabbering in itself is quite a bad sign for i also know that there is no need to justify what i think. coincidences do happen but we should not attach meanings to them, they are just coincidences.
i walked over these train tracks. trains are one of the things i wish we had back home, i just couldn't stress enough the convenience this mode of transportation brings. and this leads me to my first point, i want to be more appreciative.
living day by day is already a miracle in itself, things could go wrong in any moment yet we are still here. i am truly grateful to be alive, i am truly grateful to all the things which brings convenience to my life. i am truly grateful for all of these experiences and i just want to express that more.
and here is more reason to eat and drink. this park really holds a lot a festivals. forgive the flares from my camera. this one is a beer festival, quite unusual to have this in the middle of the year. but it is giving you more excuses to drink and have some down time. by the looks of the crowd, these people are definitely not affected by the dooms day prediction. it is a friday night after all, and the week's stress should be drowned before starting the next week. a little beer will help with that.
as mere mortals, it is not bad to relax and have fun too. having this nightwalk is a fun and a distressing time for me.
now i don't know what to say about this. as mortals, are we meant to go out shopping? sorry, this does not fit my narrative anymore. let me try again.
as humans, we were born to be social beings. we were made to connect with each other. we were made to interact. so let us do that! go out and meet with friends! go out and socialize! and with the current technology, connecting with people has never been more easy. no one is too far away anymore. call your loved ones from across the world. live like humans are supposed to be.
but if ever you get tired to be with people, have some alone time as well. alone times are best for self reflection: for self improvement. sometimes we also need to evaluate ourselves. assess what has happened and devise plans in order to move forward. by the way, i am not perfectly sure if these people were self reflecting. for all i know, they could just be sitting there alone and browsing the net. but i guess that too counts as alone time.
at this point, it has started to drizzle. good thing i had an umbrella with me.
but then again, if all else fails and the world seems to be against you, just eat. it is never wrong to eat enough. am i correct or am i correct, @wittyzell @appleeatingapple @revlat35 ?
am i even making sense in this blog entry? my brain might be short circuiting for a bit but anyway, see you tomorrow.
as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
