How are you doing, folks?

Hope everything is ok and you're doing well.

Today, I want to share with you my recent experiences at the local theater. This weekend, the International Progressive Theater Festival started here in Venezuela; being Luis Mariano Rivera's Theater, one of the locations to present great plays, poetry and contemporary dance.

On Friday, I had the honor to presence one play from my compatriots called The Armored Reason. It was about two politicians that were in prison and had to spend their lives behind bars. It was a comedy that had so much of the reality we lived in Venezuela, and how one can become a madman living in jail. It was also well written, very funny, and its literary references were something I didn't miss. All the names were from Don Quixote. A marvelous experience.

Here are some pictures.

The other performance, came from India. It was a visual delight, I was completely amazed by the artist. A woman that was very polite, very nice, and eloquent.

She performed a contemporary dance based on the Kathak, which I read it was a classical dance from that country, and the piece was called Sacred; The Rosary. It was a beautiful performance, and it was about Hindi traditions, their gods, and life in the earth. The passion and the emotions I saw in the artist blew my mind.

I took the chance to ask her for a picture, since it was the first time in my life watching a foreign performance. She was nice and accepted.

Here are some photos.

Next Saturday, the festival will bring a group from Palestine. I'm anxious to know what will it be about.

Thank you.
