Hi Photography Lovers! This is my first attempt at Street Dancing Photography. I took out my Nikon D5100 using my 50mm lens and here are the results.

This was taken in my hometown in Naga, Cebu in December 2013. The parade passed by near our house so it was easy to take photos outside of our house.

Well, it was difficult for me to use the 50mm lens since I was not sure if I could achieve to take great photos of people moving.

Dagitab Festival is a festival of lights. Since our hometown is an industrial town, there is a power plant company in the city of Naga.

When I posted these photos on Facebook, I received feedbacks from my list of friends who are photography enthusiasts. And they were asking what lens I am using. So, I said, it's the 50mm lens. And they liked all my photos. Indeed, a fixed lens was kind of challenging for me in doing street dancing photography.

Some commented that I was preparing for the largest festival in the Philippines which is the Sinulog Festival. Haha! It might be but the registration fee was getting expensive. So, I was happy to do a little street dancing photography in my hometown.

There were a lot of participants but these were the first participants who passed by our house and took photos of them.

And because of the 50mm lens, I felt like a professional photographer. These photos helped me to add this on my portfolio.

Have you tried the street dancing photography? Let me know your thoughts about my shots.

The color enhancement was made through Adobe Lightroom.

I hadn't read about dancing photography, but it makes sense, because to dance is part of life as photography.
