Birthday in half light / Cumpleaños a media luz. [Ing-Esp]

Greetings, dear colleagues. Today I am back after a few days of necessary rest. I tell you that my husband had his birthday last April 7, and I am in the habit of making a birthday video for my loved ones. But, as always, there is a "but". Just in those days the rains started, which aggravated the power outages.

Precisely that day there was a festival of blackouts and I couldn't make the video in time. Finally, I managed to complete it the next day, but it took me more than four hours of effort, generating a lot of stress, eye pain, headache and fatigue. After that, I didn't want to hear from the phone anymore and slept for hours to regain energy.

This episode made me reflect on the importance of controlling my emotions better. Everything has a solution as long as there is life, as excessive stress can affect our health in a negative way.

On the other hand, there are much bigger and irreparable situations, such as what happened in the Dominican Republic at the Jet Set nightclub. The loss of so many lives, including that of the extraordinary singer Rubby Perez, is truly regrettable. I join in the mourning of those who loved and respected him. May God give them strength. 🙏

Saludos, estimados compañeros. Hoy regreso después de unos días de necesario descanso. Les cuento que mi esposo cumplió años el pasado 7 de abril, y tengo por costumbre hacer un video de cumpleaños para mis seres queridos. Pero, como siempre, hay un "pero". Justo en esos días comenzaron las lluvias, lo que agravó los cortes de electricidad.

Precisamente ese día hubo un festival de apagones y no pude hacer el video a tiempo. Finalmente, logré completarlo al día siguiente, pero me tomó más de cuatro horas de esfuerzo, generándome mucho estrés, dolor en los ojos, dolor de cabeza y fatiga. Luego de esto, no quería saber más del teléfono y dormí horas para recuperar la energía.

Este episodio me hizo reflexionar sobre la importancia de controlar mejor mis emociones. Todo tiene solución mientras haya vida, ya que el estrés excesivo puede afectar nuestra salud de manera negativa.

Por otro lado, hay situaciones mucho más grandes e irreparables, como lo ocurrido en República Dominicana en la discoteca Jet Set. La pérdida de tantas vidas, incluyendo la del extraordinario cantante Rubby Pérez, es realmente lamentable. Me uno al duelo de quienes lo amaban y respetaban. Que Dios les dé fortaleza. 🙏
