Nuestra presentación de Halloween con relatos de terror (ES/EN)
Hola amigos de hive, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir mi experiencia y fotografías de lo que fue mi presentación de Halloween, en la que los estudiantes de Teatro Bordes, elegimos una historia de miedo, por supuesto las primeras opciones fueron Edgar Allan Poe, así que mis compañeros trabajaron un cuento de él, yo por mi parte elegí uno de H.P. Lovecraft, pues es un autor que me marcó más que Poe, y con el que me sentía mucho más a gusto.
Hello friends of hive, in this opportunity I want to share my experience and pictures of what was my Halloween presentation, in which the students of Teatro Bordes, we chose a scary story, of course the first options were Edgar Allan Poe, so my classmates worked a story of him, I for my part chose one of H.P. Lovecraft, because it is an author who marked me more than Poe, and with whom I felt much more comfortable.
El Sabueso
Esta obra, aunque más que una obra fue un ejercicio teatral, se montó con poco tiempo, las circunstancias distintas nos llevaron a hacer este montaje en tan solo dos semanas por lo que fue un reto, en primer lugar condensar el texto de las obras en algo digerible para el público, las primeras lecturas de cada obra nos tomaban de 20 a 30 min, lo que era demasiado extenso, pues esta era el tiempo que debía tomarnos todas las obras juntas, a su que poco a poco empezamos a quitar cosas, de manera que cada uno durara máximo 8 minutos en escena.
This play, although more than a play was a theatrical exercise, was staged with little time, different circumstances led us to do this assembly in just two weeks so it was a challenge, first condense the text of the plays in something digestible for the public, the first readings of each play took us 20 to 30 min, which was too long, because this was the time that should take us all the plays together, to which we gradually began to remove things, so that each one lasted a maximum of 8 minutes on stage.
El Cuervo
Yo trabajé El Sabueso de Lovecraft, después de haber condensado el cuento un par de veces logré el tiempo estipulado, sin quitarle puntos clave a la historia, la vestimenta que utilicé fueron ropa de vestir, un chaleco y un sombrero de copa, que simulaba un antiguo atuendo inglés.
I worked The Hound of Lovecraft, after having condensed the story a couple of times I achieved the stipulated time, without taking away key points from the story, the clothes I used were dress clothes, a vest and a top hat, which simulated an old English attire.
Corazón delator
El orden de la presentación era el siguiente, El Sabueso, El cuervo, Corazón delator, y Berenice de Edgar Allan Poe. Iniciada la presentación me sentía nervioso, sentía mi corazón latir fuertemente, a pesar del poco público que había, decidí aprovechar ese miedo y nerviosismo para implementarlo en mi personaje, y así lo hice. Me compenetré con el personaje, imaginé los entornos, y disfruté el momento, el miedo, el pánico que el personaje debería sentir.
The order of the presentation was as follows: The Hound, The Raven, Tell-Tale Heart, and Berenice by Edgar Allan Poe. At the beginning of the presentation I felt nervous, I felt my heart beating strongly, despite the small audience, I decided to take advantage of that fear and nervousness to implement it in my character, and so I did. I got in tune with the character, I imagined the surroundings, and I enjoyed the moment, the fear, the panic that the character should feel.
Berenice
Durante mi actuación traté de estar pendiente de la dicción, pues al jugar con las voces de temor a veces se pierde claridad en las palabras, y aun cuando estuve atento, pues espero se me haya entendido todo lo que dije, pues es algo muy importante en el teatro. El público estuvo atento podía ver de reojo las miradas con atención sobre mí. Y finalmente el apagón de luz para salir de escena, y dar paso al cuervo interpretado por mi compañero Kenzo Hortua como el narrador, y Antares Mora como el cuervo, luego procedió María Elina Barrera con Corazón delator, y finalmente Antares Mora con Berenice.
During my performance I tried to be attentive to my diction, because when playing with the voices of fear sometimes you lose clarity in the words, and even when I was attentive, I hope that everything I said was understood, because it is very important in the theater. The audience was attentive, I could see from the corner of my eye the glances with attention on me. And finally the lights went out to leave the stage, and give way to the raven played by my partner Kenzo Hortua as the narrator, and Antares Mora as the raven, then proceeded Maria Elina Barrera with Corazón delator, and finally Antares Mora with Berenice.
Las actuaciones de mis compañeros nos las pude ver, solo oír pues me encontraba en camerino, pero a todos los fue muy bien. De la presentación aun no tengo videos pero espero compartir un compilado de lo que fue la obra apenas tenga los clips.
I could not see the performances of my colleagues, I could only hear them because I was in the dressing room, but they all went very well. I don't have videos of the presentation yet, but I hope to share a compilation of what the show was like as soon as I have the clips.
