Hello everyone,
How are you today ? I hope and pray for all members of this Pinmapple Community to always be healthy and happy in this life. One thing I am sure of, all members in this community are always in a state of enthusiasm. Why do I believe, can be like that? every day, at Travel Digest we get lots of interesting stories and also cool photos from various places around the world. Seeing that, we become even more excited to travel.

For me, a pleasant trip is not measured by the distance he travels or the luxury of the facilities he gets. Sometimes, a simple trip can be very happy if done at the right time and with loved ones. This time, I want to re-participate in this community. I would like to share a story from my journey and exploration a few days ago while visiting Tartam Natural River in Lau Bicik Village, Kutalimbaru District – Deli Serdang Regency.

Tartam Natural River
A few days ago, I wasn't working and planned to relax at home all day. The weather was very hot, the sun was shining and I didn't want to go outside either. Unfortunately, the power went out and my fan and air conditioner died. The condition that I feel is getting worse, because the power failure makes me unable to take a shower and turn on the water.

I don't know where it came from, there was a silly idea from me to take my wife to go to the natural river to experience bathing in the clear river. I got a story from my next door neighbor about some natural rivers located not far from where we live. Finally, getting that info my wife and I went to Tartam Natural River.

Tartam Natural River is located in Lau Bicik Village – Kutalimbaru District, which is only about 10 km from where I live in Pancur Batu District. I used my motorbike to go there and it took about 30 minutes. Traveling by motorbike is very enjoyable, the breeze that comes to my body makes me even more excited. Moreover, 90 percent of the road conditions to get there are very good and not many roads are damaged.

The location of this natural river is a little bit into remote villages, there is no access to public vehicles here so we can only come if we bring a private vehicle. Arriving there, I was greeted by a sight that cooled my eyes. The weather conditions in this area are also cooler than where I live. At that time, there were also several other visitors who were relaxing and bathing in the natural river.

There is no management system or retribution set when it comes to this place. There is only one building such as a stall that sells food and drinks for visitors. So, it is perfect for those who want to just relax by the river or who want to bathe in the natural river.

When I arrived, this natural river was very clear and very clean. Several river rocks of various sizes add to the beauty of this river. The stones of this river form natural patterns due to the drops and discharge of water that hit them since hundreds of years ago. This natural river area is also surrounded by palm oil plantations owned by residents and also several large trees which make the surrounding scenery more beautiful.

Natural Tartam River is the confluence of two small rivers which then merge into one stream. For information, Kutalimbaru District has many small rivers that are still natural and clear. All these small rivers, will later become one river flow which also flows through Medan City's river.

This river is a flow from the confluence of two rivers that have a larger discharge and the water is calmer. The condition of the river water depth varies from knee-deep to as deep as two meters, very suitable for swimming.

Unfortunately, when we pay attention to the flow of this river approaching and passing through residential areas and cities, the color of the river turns yellow, not clear and dirty. The question is, is it the people of the city who make the river and the environment dirty?

No need to wait long, I'm already in the water of this natural river. I chose to take a dip in the smaller stream of the creek and the many stones of the river. This part of the river is indeed smaller, but I saw some clear spots with the swift flow of the river so it was perfect for me to bathe.

When bathing in a natural river, I like to put my body near the rushing river so that my body is like being massaged by the blows of the rushing water. I feel like getting a massage directly from nature, after a shower my body definitely feels better.

Many people in Indonesia are also very happy to go to the natural river for bathing and soaking. Bathing directly in the wild can certainly make us fresher and free us from all the fatigue of this life. In addition, traveling to these villages also allows us to get fresher air than the air in cities that are already heavily polluted by industrial fumes and vehicle pollution. Do you also like to bathe in natural rivers?

Nice place you got there. Love the photos too. I have read about the Japanesse concept of Forest bathing called Shinrin-yoku and true enough taking a dip with a forest like atmosphere is very therapeutical since then I never miss a fall or a stream each time I take a hike.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for stopping by @yzamazing

Shinrin-yoku concept bathing seems really interesting, but I seem to be doing it a lot. When I go exploring the forest and see a clear river or lake, I will immediately take a bath.
