My country has exceptionally interesting natural places, which stand out internationally for their beauty and enigmatic characteristics, but there are also uncommon and unexplored places from the tourist point of view, which in their own way are a reflection of the daily life of Venezuelans and at the same time make up an ideal space where you can interact closely with the ideas and customs of a people characterized by their cheerful spirit, kind attention and optimistic attitude. The Venezuelan coast gives us exotic beaches, virgin landscapes and incredible areas to enjoy a purely Caribbean nature, but we can also find large wetlands, mouths of multiple rivers and open their arms to domestic and foreign visitors, this is how we arrived at the beautiful Puerto Píritu, A town that is characterized by its intense commercial activity, great fishing vocation and for being a tourist area par excellence, where most of the travelers we can find are those who come from other areas of the country and who come here to enjoy golden sands, warm waters and a radiant sun.

Mi país cuenta con lugares naturales excepcionalmente interesantes, los cuales destacan a nivel internacional por su belleza y características enigmáticas, pero también existen lugares poco comunes y e inexplorados desde el punto de vista turístico, los cuales a su forma son un reflejo de la cotidianidad del venezolano y al mismo tiempo componen un espacio ideal en donde se puede interactuar de cerca con las ideas y costumbres propias de un pueblo que se caracteriza por su espíritu alegre, atención amable y actitud optimista. La costa venezolana nos regala playas exóticas, paisajes vírgenes y zonas increíbles para poder disfrutar de una naturaleza netamente caribeña, pero también nos podemos encontrar con grandes humedales, desembocaduras de múltiples ríos y que abren sus brazos a visitantes nacionales y extranjeros, es de esta forma como llegamos al bello Puerto Píritu, un poblado que se caracteriza por su intensa actividad comercial, gran vocación pesquera y por ser un espacio turístico por excelencia, donde la mayoría de Los viajeros que podemos encontrar son aquellos que provienen desde otras zonas del país y que llegan hasta aquí para disfrutar de arenas doradas, aguas cálidas y un sol radiante.

Undoubtedly this is a city that is marked by its immense Caribbean coast, which from afar steals the attention of all who visit it, but in reality Puerto Píritu is more than just a simple sea, sun and sand, since on its westernmost side we find a system of wetlands that represent a great importance for the region and the entire nation, It is here where we find La Laguna de Píritu, a large space characterized by highly salinized waters, relatively shallow depth and a vegetation where mangroves, scrubland and arid species are mixed, always surrounded by the shadow of an immense sea that is barely separated from the lagoon by a strip of sand that in its widest part does not exceed 300 meters.

Sin duda alguna esta es una ciudad que está marcada por su inmensa costa caribeña, la cual de lejos se roba la atención de todos los que la visitan, pero en realidad Puerto Píritu es más que un simple mar sol y arena, puesto que en su lado más occidental nos encontramos con un sistema de humedales que representan una gran importancia para la región y la nación entera, es acá en donde encontramos a La Laguna de Píritu, un gran espacio que se caracteriza por aguas altamente salinizadas, profundidad relativamente baja y una vegetación en donde se mezclan los manglares, matorrales y especies bastante áridas, siempre rodeadas por la sombra de un inmenso mar que apenas se separa de la Laguna por una franja de arena que en su parte más ancha no superará los 300 metros.

La Laguna de Píritu constituye uno de los pilares fundamentales de toda la ciudad, ya que sobre sus aguas se encuentra el principal puerto pesquero y turístico el cual a diario y gracias a un canal de navegación abierto hacia el mar cientos de personas y decenas de embarcaciones zarpan a diario con diferentes destinos comerciales y productivos. Es importante Resaltar que la pesca es una de las actividades más importantes de toda esta zona y es justamente las inmediaciones de esta laguna en donde podremos encontrar grandes bancos de peces, camarones y áreas ricas en cangrejos, los cuales gracias a las características de este espacio pueden ser capturados con bastante facilidad, para luego ser descargados en el atracadero antes mencionados y comercializados a orilla de la laguna en un mercado a cielo abierto que es ampliamente conocido por contar con productos extremadamente frescos y de gran calidad.

Un ancho bulevar nos da la bienvenida a la laguna, el atracadero y su mercado, se trata de uno de los espacios más concurridos de toda la ciudad y el cual cuenta con una de las avenidas más importantes y que al mismo tiempo nos ofrece una excelente opción en cuanto a accesibilidad y comunicación terrestre, tener la oportunidad de caminar con tranquilidad y plena libertad por esta zona fue una de las experiencias más interesantes que me ha tocado vivir, puesto que me sentía como en mi propia casa, allí la cordialidad, la alegría y el amor del pueblo nos invita a quedarnos, nos hace olvidar los problemas personales y nos impulsa adentrarnos en el maravilloso mundo de la costa caribeña.

Mientras aprovechaba la ocasión para recorrer cada espacio y admirar cada escena que se presentaba ante mis ojos también pude descubrir que aquí se convive cerca con aves como el pelícano, las cuales parecen ya estar acostumbradas al bullicio y al contacto con los seres humanos, puesto que se dejan acariciar y tocar sin demostrar miedo alguno, ya que más bien parecieran estar curiosos y atentos a las peculiaridades propias de cada individuo que desfila ante ellos.

This is a place obviously bathed by an intense sun, but at the same time blessed by a perennial breeze, which makes our walk relaxed and fresh. Besides, I must tell you that visiting this area and not buying fish is like going to the beach and not bathing, that is why I took the opportunity to buy shrimp and some other species that will surely delight my plate at breakfast or a possible lunch.

Este es un lugar obviamente bañado por un intenso sol, pero al mismo tiempo bendecido por una brisa perenne, la cual hace que nuestro caminar sea relajado y fresco. Además, debo decirles que visitar esta zona y no comprar pescado es como ir a la playa y no bañarse, es por esta razón que aproveché la ocasión para adquirir camarones y algunas otras especies que muy seguramente deleitarán mi plato en algún desayuno o un posible almuerzo.

Traveling is an incredible experience, but doing it in the company of friends or family is even more fantastic, in my mother a friend and a friend were my accomplices in this oriental adventure, together we traveled through incredible spaces and in that walk was that we stumbled upon this lagoon that has left us beautiful memories, That is why it was a fully rewarding trip, full of details and good experiences, so I do not hesitate for a second to recommend to all my readers to come and enjoy the simplicity, but beauty of a coastal city, commercial and fishing as it is Puerto Píritu.
