Central Park

In the midst of such a complex and abstract city, we find a space that stands out as a true icon of the capital's architecture: the Central Park commercial and residential complex, which rises toward the sky like a city within the big city, as its buildings cover hundreds of square meters and its height breaks numerous records both within and outside the country.

En medio de una ciudad tan compleja y abstracta, nos encontramos con un espacio que se nos presenta como un verdadero icono de la arquitectura capitalina, se trata del complejo comercial y residencial de Parque Central, el cual se eleva hacia el cielo como una ciudad dentro de la gran ciudad, puesto que sus edificios abarcan cientos de metros cuadrados y su altura es capaz de romper numerosos récords dentro y fuera del país.

It may seem repetitive, but brutalist art and style once again make their presence felt with roughness and elegance in the center of this South American city. Here, concrete becomes art, and the gray tones give us a somewhat industrial look, but at the same time robust and serene, where colors are not abundant, but nuances, shapes, and incredible structural combinations are, allowing us to enjoy a dance between cement, steel, and glass.

Pareciera repetitivo, pero el arte y estilo brutalista una vez más se hace presente con rudeza y elegancia en el centro de esta ciudad sudamericana, acá el concreto se vuelve arte y los tonos grises nos regalan un aspecto un tanto industrial, pero al mismo tiempo robusto y sereno, en donde no abundan los colores, pero sí los matices, las formas y las increíbles combinaciones estructurales, que nos permiten disfrutar de una danza entre el cemento, el acero y el vidrio.

The towers of this complex will always be the center of attention for photographers, artists, and enthusiasts, as there is no doubt that they are unique and interesting. We are faced with high-density buildings whose geometric patterns cannot go unnoticed. At times, they seem visually overwhelming, but in general, we realize that they are part of an artistic legacy from the end of the last century.

Las torres de este complejo siempre serán el centro de atención de fotógrafos, artistas y entusiastas, ya que no cabe la menor duda de que son únicas e interesantes, puesto que estamos al frente de edificios de alta densidad, cuyos patrones geométricos no pueden pasar desapercibidos, en ocasiones parecieran construcciones abrumadoras visualmente, pero en términos generales nos damos cuenta de que son parte de un legado artístico de finales del siglo pasado.

As expected, an area like this has high vehicle and pedestrian traffic; therefore, the streets surrounding the complex and its interior corridors are often spaces where the dynamism of the city is at its peak. This makes the area a vibrant social space where, day after day, one can witness the social reality of a people facing thousands of difficulties but who, at the same time, continue their tireless struggle for collective improvement and success.

Como es de esperarse, una zona como esta cuenta con un alto tráfico vehicular y peatonal; por lo tanto, las calles que circundan el complejo y sus pasillos interiores, suelen ser espacios en donde el dinamismo de la ciudad se presenta en su máximo esplendor. Lo que constituye a esta zona en un espacio social profundamente vivo, en el cual día a día se puede testear la realidad social de un pueblo que enfrenta miles de dificultades, pero que al mismo tiempo sigue una batalla incansable por lograr la superación y el éxito colectivo.
