In the Town of Hatillo

The city of Caracas as any national capital is a very convulsed urban area, where stress, dynamism and the problems of everyday life keep us immersed in a hurricane of emotions and occupations, but there are times when we want to escape from that reality and for our mental and physical health is necessary to do so, that's when we start thinking about where we can go, since the known destinations are quite distant and usually the costs associated with them are not so easy to cover for a family trip. And so the idea came up to know a very nice place located on the outskirts of the city, a place that can be accessed by car and whose journey does not exceed an hour and a half, this is the town of Hatillo, a little corner full of history, beautiful colors and has a tremendous tranquility, for this opportunity I would go accompanied by my aunts and my grandmother.

En el Pueblo del Hatillo

La ciudad de Caracas como toda capital nacional es un área urbana muy convulsionada, en donde el estrés, el dinamismo y y los problemas del día a día nos mantienen sumergidos en un huracán de emociones y ocupaciones, pero existen momentos en donde queremos escapar de esa realidad y por nuestra salud mental y física es necesario hacerlo, es allí cuando nos ponemos a pensar hacia donde podemos ir, ya que los destinos conocidos son bastante distantes y normalmente los costos asociados a ellos no no resultan tan fáciles de cubrir para un viaje familiar. Y así como surgió la idea de conocer un lugar muy lindo ubicado a las afueras de la ciudad, un sitio al que se puede acceder en carro y cuyo recorrido no excede la hora y media, se trata del pueblo del Hatillo, un rinconcito lleno de historia, lindos colores y y que cuenta con una tranquilidad tremenda, para esta oportunidad yo iría acompañado de mis tías y mi abuela.

We left mid-morning and after taking a couple of highways we left behind the big buildings of the city, to get into an area where the abundant houses make a difference, the weather is super nice and you can see a greater order in terms of urbanity, we arrived directly to the Plaza Bolivar, the place that marks the central point of all Venezuelan towns, like many other locations that I have already known this square turns out to be a very nice place, where nature is the protagonist, as they generated the lush and beautiful gardens that give the whole space an incredible greenery, it also has a number of benches that allow you to sit for a while and admire the beauty of the surroundings, where we can see a simple but beautiful church, many colonial-looking houses, lots of businesses that provide commercial and tourist services to all visitors.

Salimos a media mañana y después de tomar un par de autopistas dejamos atrás a los grandes edificios de la ciudad, para adentrarnos en una zona en donde las abundantes casas marcan la diferencia, el clima es súper agradable y se puede apreciar un mayor orden en cuanto a la urbanidad, llegamos directo a la Plaza Bolívar, el lugar que marca el punto central de todos los pueblos venezolanos, al igual que muchas otras locaciones que ya he conocido esta plaza resulta ser un lugar muy lindo, en donde la naturaleza es la protagonista, ya que generaron los frondosos y lindos jardines que le aportan a todo el espacio un verdor increíble, además la misma cuenta con una serie de bancas que permiten sentarse un rato y admirar la belleza del entorno, en dónde podemos apreciar una sencilla pero linda iglesia, muchas casas de aspecto colonial infinidad de negocios que prestan sus servicios comerciales y turísticos a todos los visitantes.

The people in this area turn out to be very cordial, when they know that one arrives for a walk they indicate the interesting places to know, they are very receptive and even the children do not miss the opportunity to take pictures, this is how a cute baby well for my camera every time I tried to take pictures of my aunts and my grandmother. The square in spite of being surrounded on its four sides by different streets is a quiet calm place with pure air, which makes it a real oasis, which allows us to forget the problems of the city, making us rest and relax mentally, it is amazing that places like this are so close and are not so crowded.

Las personas en esta zona resultan ser muy cordiales, al saber que uno llega de paseo te indican los lugares interesantes a conocer, son muy receptivos e incluso los niños no pierden la oportunidad de tomarse fotografías, es así como una linda bebé pozo para mi cámara cada vez que yo intentaba fotografiar a mis tías y a mi abuela. La plaza a pesar de estar rodeada en sus cuatro flancos por diferentes calles es un lugar silencioso tranquilo y con un aire puro, lo cual la convierte en un verdadero oasis, que nos permite olvidarnos de los problemas de la ciudad, haciéndonos descansar y relajándonos mentalmente, es increíble que lugares como este se encuentren tan cerca y no sean tan concurridos.

Due to the great curiosity that invaded us we began to walk through some streets and corners, this in order to see what we found and we could take a complete memory of this whole area, this is how we discovered high waxes, stone streets, and a house that seemed extraordinary to me, which was made of stone and wood, It was in a perfect state of preservation and without any doubt it was a visual point impossible to ignore, that is how my aunts and my grandmother posed for my camera in that space and without realizing it there was already a line of people on one side waiting their turn to do the same, the truth was a beautiful facade, which made our mind travel to some place in the Andean mountains.

Debido a la gran curiosidad que nos invadía comenzamos a recorrer algunas calles y esquinas, esto con la finalidad de ver con qué nos encontrábamos y podernos llevar un recuerdo completo de toda esta zona, es así como descubrimos a ceras elevadas, calles de piedra, y una casa que me pareció extraordinaria, la cual estaba elaborada en piedra y madera, se encontraba en perfecto estado de conservación y sin duda alguna era un punto visual imposible de ignorar, es así como mis tías y mi abuela posaron para mi cámara en ese espacio y sin darme cuenta ya había una fila de personas de un lado que esperaban su turno para hacer lo mismo, la verdad era una fachada hermosa, la cual hacía que nuestra mente viajara a algún lugar de las montañas andinas.

We walked through several streets, ate an ice cream in a very modern shopping center located nearby and enjoyed a family trip where joy, relaxation and tranquility, allowed us to recharge our batteries to continue facing the ups and downs of everyday life in the Venezuelan capital, this was a tour that I hope will be repeated soon, as the Hatillo became a place that is never forgotten.

Recorrimos varias calles, nos comimos un helado en un muy moderno centro comercial que se encuentra cerca y disfrutamos de un viaje familiar en donde la alegría, el esparcimiento y la tranquilidad, nos permitieron recargar energías para de esa forma seguir afrontando los vaivenes de la cotidianidad en la capital venezolana, este fue un recorrido que espero que se repita pronto, ya que el Hatillo se convirtió en un lugar que nunca se olvida.
