Sometimes, when we try to capture reflections, we want to find an image with extraordinary qualities—one whose features are striking and whose meaning deeply resonates with all our viewers. And to tell the truth, such photographs do exist, but they aren’t found every day; and sometimes what we consider extraordinary is, for others, just another part of everyday life.

Un Reflejo Sencillo

A veces, cuando intentamos buscar reflejos, queremos encontrar una imagen de características extraordinarias, cuyos rasgos sean llamativos y su significado conecte de manera profunda con el sentimiento de todos nuestros espectadores, y a decir verdad, estas fotografías sí existen, pero no se encuentran todos los días y a veces lo que para nosotros es extraordinario, para otros constituye un elemento más de la cotidianidad.

Sometimes, when we try to meet others’ expectations, we fail to realize that it is impossible to please such a diverse audience, and in that attempt to create the ideal photograph, we overlook the simplicity of life—and it is precisely there that we often find small but interesting details or reflections, which may not show vast landscapes but are nonetheless a projection of our reality.

En ocasiones, cuando intentamos llenar las expectativas de otros, no nos damos cuenta de que es imposible complacer a un público tan diverso y, en ese intento por generar la fotografía ideal, dejamos de lado la simpleza de la vida y es justamente allí donde muchas ocasiones encontraremos pequeños pero interesantes detalles o reflejos, los cuales quizás no muestren enormes paisajes, pero también son una proyección de nuestra realidad.

As we navigate the challenges of a complex world, life continues to unfold relentlessly, the hours march on with unwavering force, and our surroundings keep offering us incredible opportunities. That is why we simply must pay attention to the small details that enrich our lives, because sometimes that is where we find the true treasures and the most interesting photographs.

Mientras sorteamos las dificultades de un mundo complejo, la vida sigue transcurriendo de forma indetenible, las horas marcan con fuerza cada minuto y nuestro entorno sigue regalándonos oportunidades increíbles. Es por esta razón que simplemente debemos prestarle atención a los pequeños detalles que complementan nuestra existencia, porque a veces es allí en donde encontramos los verdaderos tesoros y las fotografías más interesantes.
