Caracas es una ciudad que poco a poco se va adaptando a las necesidades de una urbe moderna, las cuales se caracterizan por ser espacios inclusivos, amigables con el medio ambiente y en donde la fácil movilidad de los ciudadanos se vuelve una prioridad, en muchas ciudades del mundo las bicicletas son parte fundamental del entramado urbano, pero en Caracas hasta hace poco estas no tenían muchos espacios, pues los ciclistas que buscaban pedalear sobre la capital tenían que lanzarse a calles y avenidas, corriendo muchos riesgos y enfrentándose a superficies poco amigables, por lo tanto esta actividad era poco atractiva y no se desarrollaba a plenitud.

Pero con el pasar del tiempo algunas áreas de Caracas comenzaron a modificar su perfil urbano, esto con la finalidad de agregar espacios que permitieran la circulación de bicicletas de forma segura y continua, es así como surge la Ciclovía de la Avenida Bolívar, un tramo que forma parte de un circuito ciclístico en pleno corazón de la capital, en donde cada centímetro de su recorrido nos regala escenarios increíbles.

Su característico piso rojo con rayas blancas se abre paso sobre una de las principales arterias viales de la ciudad, pero al mismo tiempo este singular camino discurre entre grandes y frondosos árboles, cuyo verdor y frescura permite escapar del calor y el fuerte sol que golpea con fuerza a determinada hora del día, mientras avanzamos sobre la vía, podemos disfrutar de obras de arte, plazas y espacios para el esparcimiento, todo esto mientras disfrutamos de la modernidad que nos regala la arquitectura que se hace presente a lo largo del recorrido, en donde se puede destacar el Complejo Urbanístico Parque Central con sus grandes torres de concreto, el Palacio de Justicia, junto a los edificios del centro y las torres residenciales de la Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela, que con sus colores le aportan un toque diferente a toda la ruta.
