A Glimpse of the Municipal Theater of Chacao

Walking through the streets of the city of Caracas is a unique experience, as I have commented on numerous occasions this capital city hides among its corners examples of architecture of different styles, where the classic mixes with the modern and where each space has a unique personality. Since the 50's this city has undergone a constant process of renovation and transformation, where numerous constructions were erected that defied the traditional limits and, therefore, gave its surroundings a profoundly modernist and at the same time exclusive air.

Un Vistazo al Teatro Municipal de Chacao

Caminar por las calles de la ciudad de Caracas es una experiencia única, como les he comentado en numerosas ocasiones esta capital esconde entre sus rincones ejemplos de arquitectura de diferentes estilos, en donde lo clásico se mezcla con lo moderno y en donde cada espacio cuenta con una personalidad única. Desde la década de los 50 esta urbe ha vivido un constante proceso de renovación y transformación, en donde se levantaron numerosas construcciones que desafiaban los límites tradicionales y, por lo tanto, le aportaban a todo su entorno un aire profundamente modernista y al mismo tiempo exclusivo.

This is how Caracas has become the city of icons, since each important building has imposing characteristics and very peculiar shapes, which break with the urban profile and at the same time steal the attention of everyone. This trend towards the different is marked by the need of architects, engineers and business owners to be known with pharaonic works, which not only represent a legacy, but at the same time are the tangible reference of the economic power of some institutions and the artistic and creative capacity of one or more individuals who with the help of new technologies can generate truly fantastic designs.

Es de esta forma como Caracas se ha convertido en la ciudad de los iconos, puesto que cada edificio importante cuenta con imponentes características y formas muy peculiares, lo cual rompe con el perfil urbano y al mismo tiempo se roba la atención de todos. Esta tendencia hacia lo diferente viene marcada por la necesidad de los arquitectos, ingenieros y dueños de empresas por darse a conocer con obras faraónicas, las cuales no solo representan un legado, sino que al mismo tiempo son la referencia tangible del poderío económico de algunas instituciones y de la capacidad artística y creadora de uno o varios individuos que con ayuda de las nuevas tecnologías pueden generar diseños realmente fantásticos.

The Municipal Theater of Chacao built in 2011 is a masterpiece of avant-garde architecture, which is capable of generating truly unique designs, with the use of unusual materials, such as aluminum, plastic and other elements that are characterized by their great resistance, low cost and light weight, making them perfect to be used in a terrain that deserves light constructions and capable of resisting the eventual, but powerful telluric movements that may occur in the area.

El Teatro Municipal de Chacao construido en el año 2011 es una obra maestra de la arquitectura vanguardista, la cual es capas de generar diseños realmente únicos, con el uso de materiales poco usuales, como lo son el aluminio, el plástico y otros elementos que se caracterizan por su gran resistencia, bajo costo y poco peso, haciéndolos perfectos para ser empleados en un terreno que amerita construcciones livianas y capaces de resistir los eventuales, pero poderosos movimientos telúricos que se pueden presentar en la zona.

Undoubtedly this building will never go unnoticed, since its abstract shape, combined with a very peculiar orange color make it recognizable from any point of view, and despite being a totally different space to its surroundings, we can determine that it does not distort its environment, but on the contrary, these peculiar traces are perfectly absorbed by the subtle natural touches of some trees and the robustness of the large towers that ideally enclose what appears to be a beautiful artistic piece that covers almost a block in the east of the capital, but in reality it is a place open to the public for the enjoyment of the arts, culture and good entertainment.

Sin duda alguna este edificio nunca pasará desapercibido, ya que su forma abstracta, combinada con un muy peculiar color naranja lo hacen reconocible desde cualquier punto de vista, además a pesar de ser un espacio totalmente diferente a lo que lo rodea podemos determinar que no distorsiona su entorno, sino, por el contrario, estos trazos tan peculiares son absorbidos de forma perfecta por los sutiles toques naturales de algunos árboles y la robustez de las grandes torres que enarcan de forma ideal lo que apareciera ser una linda pieza artística que abarca casi una manzana del este de la capital, pero que en realidad se trata de un recinto abierto al público para el disfrute de las artes, la cultura y el buen entretenimiento.
