I invite you to visit the "La Vereda del Lago" park in Maracaibo.
Hello friends. Chronicle No. 03 has begun this week, and today I want to take you on a tour of one of my favorite parks in my city because it's so full, and there's fun for both kids and adults. But first, I want to explain what a lake is. Lake Maracaibo is a semi-enclosed bay that connects to the Gulf of Venezuela. It's an oil-producing area with very few fisheries. It was an important center for our country's independence along the naval route.
I really like this place because it's very peaceful, everything is close at hand, and it's within the city center. The city center is just a few meters away, and it has access to local transportation if you don't have a car to get there.
You can see oil tankers, fishing boats, smaller boats passing by, and also see seagulls flying over the lake water.
You can go for a picnic, walk, jog, have barbecues, have parties, take the little ones to the amusement park, relax, or just chat.
It is pleasant to lie on the grass under the shade of trees.
This is where the stands are located, where December parades or activities of some government entity are held.
The lake's path covers 65 hectares, and along these stretches we find children's parks and various activities such as go-carts and others.
And if you don't want to walk, you have the option of renting a bike to do the entire route.
It also has exercise equipment for those who exercise daily.
Our nationality is deeply rooted in us; we are Venezuelans and we are very friendly people.
You can also learn about our history through the monuments we find along the way.
Each city has its own unique history, culture, typical dishes, music, and dances. Venezuela has mountains, rivers, sea, snow, and plains. Starting with a visit to Maracaibo is a good starting point for continuing your tour of the entire country.
My home is your home. I'm waiting to take you on this beautiful walk.
