Friendlymoose Photo Contest - VINTAGE

I remember seeing these decorated cans with cute drawings filled with cookies since I was little, especially during the Christmas season when the cookies that were shared at the Christmas table came.

There were also some soda crackers, which are often used when you're on a diet. The can once held up to 2 kilos of crackers. Oil also came in cans, as did powdered milk and the corn flakes. Every time we went to buy them they came with a different drawing so they became collectibles. These stopped coming in that form; they were replaced with bags. Now everything comes in bags and plastic bottles. And I wonder: "Is that why food is so bad for our bodies now?" It could have something to do with storing a product in that plastic material for so long.

These cans may not have a huge monetary value—I don't think they're collectible—but they've been around for a while and hold sentimental value in my life. Some belonged to my mother, others are mine, and I use them to store sewing supplies.

Recuerdo que desde que estaba pequeña estoy viendo estas latas decoradas con lindos dibujos llenos de galletas, sobre todo se veían en la época decembrina donde venían las galletas que se compartían en la mesa de navidad.

También venían unas galletas de soda que se usan mucho para cuando estás a dieta, la lata fue hasta de 2 kilos de galletas, el aceite también venía en latas, la leche en polvo y el corn flakes. Cada vez que los íbamos a comprar traían un dibujo distinto así que lo hacían coleccionables. Estos dejaron de tener esa presentación, fueron cambiadas por bolsas, ahora todo viene en bolsas y en botellas de plástico. Y yo me pregunto: ¨Será por eso que ahora los alimentos caen tan mal a nuestro cuerpo?¨, podría tener algo que ver el almacenar un producto tanto tiempo en ese material plástico.

Quizás estas latas no tengan un gran valor en cuanto a dinero se refiere, no creo que sean coleccionables, pero tienen su tiempo y tienen un valor sentimental en mi vida. Algunas pertenecían a mi madre, otras son mías y las uso para guardar cosas de costura.
