Donde encontró un espacio

Cuando ya iba a salir del local, encontré la última planta que fotografié ese día.

Estaba justo al lado de la puerta, en el suelo, entre el muro y el cemento. Había encontrado una pequeña rendija donde crecer y, a pesar de lo poco que parecía tener a su alrededor, estaba allí, bastante saludable y llena de flores.

Me llamó la atención precisamente por eso.

No estaba en una maceta ni formaba parte del pequeño jardín que había cuidado la trabajadora. Simplemente había crecido allí, en un espacio que parecía demasiado pequeño para una planta.

Saqué nuevamente el móvil y le hice unas fotos antes de marcharme.

No sé qué planta es ni cómo llegó hasta allí. Solo sé que, entre el muro y el piso de cemento, había encontrado un lugar suficiente para crecer y florecer.

A veces una fotografía aparece justo cuando uno ya piensa que ha terminado de mirar.

Where It Found a Space

When I was about to leave the place, I found the last plant I photographed that day.

It was right beside the door, growing from the ground between the wall and the concrete floor. It had found a small crack where it could grow and, despite having so little space around it, it was there, looking healthy and full of flowers.

That was precisely what caught my attention.

It wasn't in a pot and it wasn't part of the little garden cared for by the worker. It had simply grown there, in a space that seemed far too small for a plant.

I took out my phone once again and took a few pictures before leaving.

I don't know what kind of plant it is or how it got there. I only know that, between the wall and the concrete floor, it had found enough space to grow and bloom.

Sometimes a photograph appears just when we think we have finished looking.
