Another heat wave—some people are happy about it, but it reminds me of what hap

I took these photos (with my phone) in July 2022


They were established within the “Wyspy Zawadowskie” Nature Reserve


This is an area in the southern part of Warsaw, covering approximately 530 hectares on both banks of the Vistula River, including the riverbed

It protects wild islands, sandy shoals, and waterfowl and marsh birds

Many rare species of birds live here, nesting on the sandbanks and islands.


You’re not allowed to fly drones within the reserve, even if you have a permit to enter the area, so I only have photos taken from ground level and only with my phone; we hadn’t planned to work there.
I think it's clear that there are no islands, so both people and animals can reach the nests and destroy them, the eggs, and the newly hatched chicks

I haven't been there yet this year, but I don't think the situation is any better.

Irek, this is a cool post and definitely a great place to enjoy both nature and photography. But where are the marsh birdies you hinted at ?.. I'd really advise you to head posts like this to Photo Lovers community. (Although its a bit crowdy and packed, I admit.. but still).
There also exist PhotoFeed community, with contests every day of the week, and Photography [DAC] community -- do check! And I'd be looking for your birdwatching photos. GL!

Thanks for pointing that out—you're absolutely right; this isn't the right place for this post. I guess because of the heat, I've been making more mistakes than usual lately. And I don't think this is the only post where I've made a mistake. Is there any way to move this post somewhere else?

This is a blockchain xD you cant unwind a lot of things :)))))
But in my opinion it is not an abuse and not a big problem (unless moderators will think other way). Still there are a few options to do (if you'd like to give more promotion to your stuff):

  • make a cross-post of this post to another community or two
  • erase the content of the post, and change it to the stuff more 'appropriate' to community subject (dont delete the content itself -- copypaste it, to a draft, and post later; but dont abuse this method, I guess you can do it in a short period of time before 7-days-post payout period; other way hive-watchers may consider it an abuse)
  • do nothing ;)
