Wandering Around Montpellier (Part 2)

A moment of reflection, as after the pharmacy with its old utensils and remedies, we move on to the adjoining chapel.
The Chapel of Mercy is part of the Œuvre de la Miséricorde, a charitable institution founded in the 17th century by women from the local aristocracy, in collaboration with the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul.
Now listed as a historic monument, the chapel remains a living testament to Montpellier’s social and spiritual commitment.

Un moment de recueillement car après la pharmacie et ses anciens ustensiles et produits nous passons à la chapelle attenante.
La Chapelle de la Miséricorde fait partie de l’Œuvre de la Miséricorde, une institution caritative fondée au XVII^ème siècle par des femmes de l’aristocratie locale, en collaboration avec les Filles de la Charité de Saint-Vincent-de-Paul.
Cette chapelle qui est désormais classée monument historique reste un témoignage vivant de l’engagement social et spirituel de Montpellier.
