Tracing the Middle Ages in Dourdan (Part 5)

Chill stroll in Dourdan, between nature and heritage. We start in the town center with lunch on the terrace at La Table Blanche, inside the Best Western — the perfect spot to recharge. Then it's off to François-Mitterrand Park for a post-lunch walk. Along the way, there's a quirky sculpture of a man balancing, and a big wooden gate that brings to mind the town’s medieval past. All of it surrounded by trees in a peaceful setting — great for a break or a few photos.
Now that our legs are warmed up, time to head for the castle, which should be open.

Balade tranquille à Dourdan, entre nature et patrimoine. On commence par le centre-ville, avec un déjeuner en terrasse à La Table Blanche, au Best Western, histoire de reprendre des forces. Puis direction le parc François-Mitterrand pour une promenade digestive. On y croise une drôle de sculpture représentant un homme en équilibre, et une grande porte en bois qui évoque le passé médiéval de la ville. Le tout entouré d’arbres, dans un calme apaisant – parfait pour faire une pause ou quelques photos.
Maintenant que les jambes sont échauffées, cap sur le château, qui doit être ouvert.
