I don’t know how many places of worship I’ve visited in my life, but it must be a lot. Sticking to tradition, we head to Saint-Germain-d'Auxerre Church in Dourdan.
Located right in the heart of Dourdan, this church stands out with its understated beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Built between the 12th and 13th centuries, it blends Romanesque and Gothic styles with elegance—graceful vaults, charming side chapels... and of course, the statue of Joan of Arc, watching over the faithful.

Je ne sais pas combien j'ai visité de lieux de culte dans ma vie mais le nombre doit être impressionnant. Pour ne pas déroger à la règle nous nous rendons à l'église Saint-Germain-d'Auxerre de Dourdan.
Située en plein cœur de Dourdan, cette église surprend tant par sa beauté discrète que par son atmosphère paisible. Construite entre les XII^ème et XIII^ème siècles, elle mêle harmonieusement les styles roman et gothique, avec ses voûtes élégantes et ses chapelles latérales pleines de charme... sans oublier la statue de Jeanne d'Arc qui veille sur les fidèles.
