The Paul Bert Bridge. Probably located at the site of an initial ancient bridge, the old bridge of Auxerre, rebuilt anew under Saint Louis, fortified, underwent several renovations.

Probablement situé à l'emplacement d'un premier pont antique, le vieux pont d'Auxerre, reconstruit à neuf sous saint Louis, fortifié, fut plusieurs fois remanié.

The statue of Paul Bert (1833-1886) was placed on the eponymous bridge in 1888. The sculptor Emile Peynot created this work.
