Roses and its citadel (Part 8)
At the very end of the walk, we reached a watchtower with a spiral staircase. It’s a bit of a climb, but good for the heart.
One last look at the ruins of the Romanesque monastery, and we head to the site’s small museum before leaving.
En toute fin de parcours nous sommes parvenus devant une tour de guet dotée d'un escalier en colimaçon. Ca fait quelques marches à gravir mais c'est bon sur le coeur.
Un dernier coup d'oeil sur les ruines du monastère roman et nous nous dirigeons vers le petit musée du site avant de quitter les lieux.

Roses - Spiral staircases were common in fortifications because they allowed for quick vertical access while taking up minimal space.
