Cluny... here we are (Part 6)

The Abbey of Cluny has a unique atmosphere, even more so when the weather is cloudy like it was during our visit.
The cloister, with its almost austere simplicity, invites introspection… especially since we had it all to ourselves! You can still feel the weight of history and the spiritual presence of the place.
The bell towers — the Holy Water Tower and the Clock Tower — reflect the symbolic and architectural importance of the abbey at its peak.

L'Abbaye de Cluny dégage une atmosphère particulière, et encore plus lorsque le temps est nuageux comme ce fut le cas lors de notre venue.
Le cloître, avec sa simplicité presque austère, pousse à l’introspection... surtout que nous y étions seuls ! On ressent encore le poids de l’histoire et la spiritualité du lieu.
Les clochers — celui de l’Eau Bénite et celui de l’Horloge — témoignent de l’importance symbolique et architecturale de l’abbaye à son apogée.
