Château-Thierry: the city of Jean de La Fontaine (Part 6)

A magnificent view of the town unfolds before us from the heights of the castle. It’s impossible not to take a short detour through the rose garden, even if the blooming season has already passed. The place still holds all its charm, and we’re savoring every moment of this walk.
Lunch, preceded by a well-deserved aperitif, takes place by the Marne River in a wonderfully peaceful spot.
This afternoon, we’ll continue our stroll towards the Hôtel-Dieu Treasure Museum, eager to discover its history and hidden gems.

Une superbe vue sur la ville s’offre à nous depuis les hauteurs du château. Impossible de ne pas faire un petit détour par la roseraie, même si la période de floraison est déjà derrière nous. L’endroit garde tout son charme, et nous savourons chaque instant de cette balade.
Le déjeuner, précédé d’un apéritif bien mérité, se déroule en bord de Marne, dans un coin paisible à souhait.
Cet après-midi, nous reprendrons tranquillement notre marche en direction du Musée du Trésor de l’Hôtel-Dieu, curieux d’en découvrir les trésors et l’histoire.
