A Wonderful Journey to Japan (Part 70)
How lucky we are to explore such a rich and fascinating country. Every day brings a new reason to be amazed — from the diverse landscapes to the intriguing customs and a culture deeply woven into daily life. During our visit to the Mikado Shinto shrine, we were struck by the peaceful atmosphere that surrounds it. On our way to the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, we were suddenly stopped in our tracks by an unexpected scene: the ground was completely covered in what looked like a thin layer of snow… in the middle of summer! After a few moments of surprise, we realized it was actually a thick carpet of poplar seeds. An almost perfect illusion — nature playing a little trick on us.
Quelle chance nous avons de pouvoir découvrir un pays aussi riche et fascinant. Chaque jour est une nouvelle occasion de s’émerveiller : paysages variés, coutumes intrigantes, et une culture profondément ancrée dans le quotidien. Lors de notre visite au sanctuaire shinto Mikado, nous avons été séduits par la sérénité qui y règne. En chemin vers le musée d’Art Moderne d’Hokkaido, une scène inattendue nous a arrêtés net : un paysage entièrement recouvert de ce qui ressemblait à une fine couche de neige… en plein été ! Après quelques instants de surprise, nous avons compris qu’il s’agissait en réalité d’un épais tapis de graines de peupliers. Une illusion presque parfaite, comme un clin d’œil de la nature.
