A small bucolic stroll along the Miyagawa and Enako rivers. For the Japanese, they symbolize purity, prosperity, and aesthetics… and we can feel it deeply. As we wander, we come across other symbols, like the strange Tenaga-jin with its oversized arms or the lucky cat watching over its neighborhood.

Tradition runs deep in this country, and there are many lessons for us Westerners to learn from it.

Petite promenade bucolique le long des rivières Miyagawa et Enako. Pour les Japonais, elles symbolisent la pureté, la prospérité et l’esthétique… et nous le ressentons pleinement. Au gré de nos pas, nous croisons d’autres symboles, comme l’étrange Tenaga-jin aux bras démesurés ou ce chat porte-bonheur veillant sur son quartier.

La tradition imprègne profondément ce pays, et il y a bien des leçons à en tirer pour nous autres occidentaux.
