Hello friends, today was a classic home day for me. I did some work at home, laundry, cleaning, dishes, etc., and then my eyes fell on the flower in the living room. The flower has been with us for a month and some of the flowers have fallen off, but it still has live flowers.

I explained in my previous post that the orchid is a plant that needs little water, so I checked the color of the root after two/three weeks and watered it two days ago. Today, I wanted to wipe the leaves of my plant. I wet a napkin with water and wiped every part of its long leaves with that napkin.

Plants respire with openings called stomata on their leaves, although we cannot see it with our eyes, the leaf surface contains many stomata. In addition, plant epithelial cells can also retain moisture, or water, from the air. During my research, I also learned about this and was advised to wipe the leaves with a damp cloth. So today I wiped and cleaned the leaves and watered my plant at the same time, and my orchid absorbed a little water into itself.

During this process, I first removed the ornaments in the pot of my plant and then put them back.

I started to look at plants in a different way when I was in high school. I used to find plant physiology topics very entertaining in our biology class. At university I discovered that they are even more wonderful beings. There are many beauties in life that we do not discover. Merhaba arkadaşlar bugün benim için klasik bir ev günüydü. Evde bir takım işlerimi gerçekleştirdim, çamaşır, temizlik, bulaşık vs derken gözüm salondaki çiçeğe takıldı. Çiçek bir aydır bizimle ve bazı çiçekleri döküldü ama hala canlı çiçekleri var.

Orkide'nin az su isteyen bir bitki olduğunu önceki postumda anlatmıştım. O yüzden iki/üç hafta geçtikten sonra kökünün rengini kontrol edip su vermiştim iki gün önce. Bugün de bitkimin yapraklarını silmek istedim. Bir peçeteyi su ile ıslattım ve uzun yapraklarının her yerini o mendille sildim.

Bitkiler yapraklarında bulunan stoma adı verilen açıklıklarla solunum yaparlar, gözle göremesek de yaprak yüzeyi bir çok stoma barındırır. Bunun yanı sıra bitki epitel hücreleri de havadan nem yani su tutabilir. Araştırmalarım sırasında buna dair bir bilgi de öğrenmiştim ve tavsiye olarak nemli bezle yaprakları silmek önerilmişti. Ben de bugün yaprakları hem sildim temizledim hem de bitkimi sulamis gibi oldum az da olsa suyu kendi içine çekti orkidem.

Bu işlem sırasında bitkimin saksısında bulunan süsleri önce çıkarttım, sonra geri yerleştirdim.

Bitkilere liseye giderken daha farklı bir gözle bakmaya başlamıştım. Bitki fizyolojisi konularını biyoloji dersimizde işlerken çok eğlenceli bulurdum. Üniversitede daha da harika varlıklar olduğunu keşfettim. Hayatta kesfetmediğimiz bir çok güzellik mevcut. Umarım yeri geldiğinde onların güzelliklerini farklı bakış açılarıyla görebiliriz.
