La flor de un solo día 🌼 The flower of a single day

Hola, ¿cómo están amigos del mundo? Espero que todos bien. Siempre que compro frutos exóticos recojo algunas semillas de uno y de otro y las guardo en un frasquito. Tenía algunas de moras, fresas y uchuva, eché unas cuantas en un matero chiquito, las rocié con un poco de agua y esperé a ver qué salía.

Hello, how are you friends of the world? I hope you are all well. Whenever I buy exotic fruits I always pick some seeds from one and another and keep them in a little jar. I had some blackberries, strawberries and cape gooseberries, threw a few in a tiny pot, sprinkled them with a little water and waited to see what would come out.

Pasaron días y días y nada, y de repente salió una pequeña plantita de dos hojas. Traté de averiguar qué planta era pero su tamaño no me ayudaba. Seguí cuidándola esperando que creciera un poco más para identificarla.

Days and days went by and nothing, and suddenly a little two-leafed plant came out. I tried to find out what plant it was but its size didn't help me. I kept taking care of it, waiting for it to grow a little more so I could identify it.

Tardó mucho, pero seguía creciendo su tallo y las hojitas. Una mañana me levanto y veo que entre sus tallos salió un capullo y después de 2-3 días veo una hermosa flor tipo campana, de un color moradito claro y con un suave aroma.

It took a long time, but it kept growing its stem and leaves. One morning I woke up and saw that a bud had emerged between its stems and after 2-3 days I saw a beautiful bell-shaped flower, with a light purple color and a soft scent.

Vi la flor en la mañana, en la tarde se cerró y al otro día se marchitó y cayó, así que la llamé "la flor de un solo día".

I saw the flower in the morning, in the afternoon it closed and the next day it withered and fell, so I named it “the flower of a single day”.

Los días siguientes salieron más capullos y cada día salía otra flor, que como les dije solamente duraba un día.

The following days more buds came out and every day another flower came out, which as I told you only lasted one day.

Empecé a buscar por Internet de qué planta se trataba, puse mora, vi las hojas y no se parecían a mi mata, después busqué la fresa y tampoco era igual, busqué la uchuva y se parecía, casi igual a mi mata la forma de sus hojas.

I started to search the Internet to find out which plant it was, I put blackberry, I saw the leaves and they didn't look like my plant, then I looked for strawberry and it was not the same either, I looked for cape gooseberry and it looked almost the same as my plant, the shape of its leaves.

Ya están creciendo frutas, y si son uchuva van a tardar en salir, entonces se las mostraré en otra publicación. Hasta ahora tiene seis fruticas, a ver cuando muestran su carita 😊.

Fruits are already growing, and if they are cape gooseberries they will take a while to come out, so I will show them to you in another publication. So far it has six little fruits, let's see when they show their face 😊.

Todavía no es segura su identificación, pero me encanta el sabor de la uchuva, muy dulcita, es de color naranja y las semillitas casi invisibles. Es una planta enredadera, yo le puse un palito para sostenerla, y con mucha ansiedad mis amigos, quiero ver si es esta fruta, ¡esperemos!

I am still not sure of its identification, but I love the taste of the cape gooseberry, very sweet, it is orange and the seeds are almost invisible. It is a vine plant, I put a stick to hold it, and with much anxiety my friends, I want to see if it is this fruit, let's wait!
