The Little Boracay of Calatagan Batangas Philippines : #LakwatsaniIntoy Diary 074
It's rainy season in the Philippines nowadays. Where did you go last summer outing? Did you create a memorable summer getaway this year?. If your outing is still a dream until today and you might want your outing plan to come to reality, and if you still don't find a place to have a bond with your friends and family, you may consider this place as your venue for your outing.
On this blog, I will share with you another travel destination. I will bring you to one of the famous summer destinations in the Philippines, especially in the southern part of Luzon. It is called the Little Boracay of Batangas
April last year, when we visited this place. I was invited by our Admin team in our project site to join them for their summer outing. Of course, who am I to say no right? It's just a month since I arrived in this province, so Im excited to explore the place of Batangas. When I heard this is the destination of the outing, Im started to get thrilled. It is one of the top recommended destinations to explore in the province when I look it up on the internet.
The outing is not an overnight, and the location is a bit far from our place, so we left at four in the morning to maximize the outing with the team. The travel time from our point to little Boracay is three hours, estimated and depends on the condition of the traffic.
Upon arriving in Calatagan, we went directly to our accommodation. The Place is a bit secluded, and we are just the guests of this place that day. So we occupied all he corners of our Homestay.
A few minutes later, our travel coordinator arrived with a pack of food for our breakfast. Timely, we are hungry already due to an early, long ride. After eating and resting for a bit. Everyone started preparing their things to bring to the swimming area.
By the way, this Little Boracay is a bit different from the famous Boracay in the Philippines, where you can find a beautiful, fine white sand strip of shoreline. Here, in the Little Boracay in Batangas, you will be brought to the center of the ocean using the floating cottage. What resembles Boracay is the turquoise and crystal clear water that will entice you to dive in.
The port of floating cottages is just a five-minute walk from our accommodation. On the port, I was shocked by a lot of people visiting this place. It is indeed a famous tourist destination. You will also see a lot of floating cottages docked on the bay waiting for their guest.
We rented two floating cottages for 25 people each floating cottage cost 4500 Pesos for day use rental. The Floating Cottage has a videoke onboard which everyone requested to have, and it also has a 2nd floor where you can have a beautiful overlooking view of the ocean.
The floating cottage is made mostly of bamboo, and it is pulled by a small boat toward the swimming area, which is in the middle of the ocean of Calatagan Beach. From the docking port, it took us 10 minutes to arrive at our destination.
After the Floating Cottage was anchored. The swimming time has begun. We jump left and right and explore the marine life of the ocean. The corals and fish beneath were healthy and colorful. You will love doing snorkeling and scuba diving at this place once you visit. We also enjoy singing our favorite song while we are in the middle of the ocean.
You can do a lot of activities here, even if you are in the middle of the ocean. You also feed some fish. Have a banana boat or a JetSki ride, or just have some sunbathing at the cottage.
Everyone is enjoying the day and thinking only of having fun in this amazing place in Calatagan. We stay here until 3:30 pm, and our eyes and memories are satisfied and full of beautiful moments. This place is not famous for nothing. It deserves its name and Good feedback from the people who visited. If you are in the Philippines, make sure to write it up in your bucket list. It deserves to be there.
How to Reach Little Boracay
If you are planning to visit this place from Manila, you can take public transportation to reach this place. From Buendia Pasay Bus Terminal, ride a bus going to Calatagan and get off at the Calatagan Market. Bus fare is roughly 295 Pesos. Travel time is about 3 hours, depending on the traffic conditions.
Upon getting off the bus, ride a motorcycle from the market to the jump-off point. It will take 15 minutes of a ride and it costs you 150 pesos per trip. Then you have it you will now contact your coordinator for the floating cottage that will bring you to the ocean.
If you have a private vehicle or have rented a car, just like what we did, you just pin the location and follow its suggested way of directions. Mostly, if you are from Manila, you take the SLEX and Exit at Sta Rosa, then head to Tagaytay, where there is a way to Calatagan, Batangas.
If you are now in the proper of Calatagan, just ask the netizen for precise directions. Don't worry, people of Calatagan are approachable and they will guide you the way. Parking, don't worry, there are a lot of parking pay for your vehicle around the jump-off.
