InMyFrame - One Photo Series #14

Był krótki okres, kiedy mieszkałem w Holandii. Trzy krótkie miesiące w ramach pracy. Niezbyt dobrze pamietam ten pobyt. A raczej ludzi z jakimi miałem tam styczność. Za pośrednictwem agencji do Holandii z Polski przyjeżdża cała śmietanka społeczna. Zbyt wiele wszelkiego rodzaju „uzależnieńców”, abym mógł dłużej w czymś takim brać udział.

Zdjęcie powstało podczas jednego z nocnych spacerów po miejscowość Schiedam, która przynależy do Rotterdamu. Bez statywu, z telefonu. To jedno z moich ulubionych zdjęć, jakie zrobiłem telefonem. Starym, poczciwym Huawei p20 Pro. Mam sentyment do tego zdjęcia. Ciepłe, sztuczne światło rozpala ciemną noc. Oświetlone nim kamieniczki obijają się w kanale. Lubie szukać takich odbić przy fotografowaniu.

W tej miejscowości spędziłem niecałe dwa miesiące. Nie miałem aparatu. Jedynie telefon i zbyt wielu zdjęć, którymi chciałbym się podzielić nie mam. Ale tym się dzielę. Mimo średniej jakości, samo ujęcie wydaje mi się udane. A fakt, że wtedy nie miałem aparatu motywuje mnie, żeby wrócić z nim do Holandii ponownie, ale kierunek nieco inny. Amsterdam i okolice. Kanały i piękne kamieniczki, pola tulipanów i ikoniczne dla holenderskiego krajobrazu drewniane młyny. Jest pomysł na taki wyjazd tej wiosny. Trzymajcie kciuki żeby się udał :)

There was a short period when I lived in the Netherlands. Three short months of work. I don't remember that stay very well. Or rather the people I had contact with there. Through an agency, all the social cream comes to the Netherlands from Poland. Too many "addicts" of all kinds for me to take part in something like this for longer.

The photo was taken during one of the night walks around the town of Schiedam, which belongs to Rotterdam. No tripod, from the phone. This is one of my favorite photos I took with my phone. The old, good Huawei p20 Pro. I have a good feeling for this photo. Warm, artificial light ignites a dark night. The tenement houses illuminated by it are reflected in the canal. I like to look for such reflections when photographing.

I spent less than two months in this town. I didn't have a camera. Only the phone and too many photos I would like to share I don't have. But that's what I share. Despite the average quality, the shot itself seems successful to me. And the fact that I didn't have a camera then motivates me to go back to the Netherlands with it again, but the direction is a bit different. Amsterdam and surroundings. Canals and beautiful tenement houses, tulip fields and iconic wooden mills for the Dutch landscape. There is an idea for such a trip this spring. Keep your fingers crossed that it will succeed :)
