InFiveFrames #1 - Welcome To Winter Wonderland!

Magical Winter Morning In The Forest.

Hello Visual Shots community!

Today I'd like to share with you a set of five photos taken on a frosty winter morning in the forests of the Little Beskids in southern Poland. I wanted to take advantage of the fact that the trees in the forest were beautifully adorned with snow that had fallen a few days earlier and was clinging to them thanks to the several days of frost. I didn't have to get to work until the afternoon that day, and the weather was perfect, so why not take a short hike?

I set out before sunrise. It was quite cold. If I remember correctly, it was around -5 to -7 degrees Celsius. It was midweek, and I didn't see a soul on the trail. I had the entire forest to myself, and it looked stunning! See for yourself.

The first photo is my favorite. I used a very closed aperture to create a starburst effect as the sun shone through the coniferous trees, bathing the snow-covered branches in its glow.

For the second shot, I positioned the camera close to the ground to get a closer look at the snow-covered blueberry bushes, which gleamed as beautifully as the trees in the morning sun. I love it when snow looks like it has its own light.

In the next photo, I took a closer look at the young trees growing in the forest. They seem to look their most beautiful after a snowfall. Their lower reaches seem to be connected to the layer of snow on the ground.

The fourth photo is a wide-angle shot I took where two trails converge. There are many deciduous trees here, specifically birches, whose branches haven't retained the snow. This is likely because they are too fragile to support the weight. The bark of these trees is white, so they blend in with the winter landscape.

In the last photo, I "caught a star" again. This photo was taken on a less open section of the trail, in a dense forest. I maintained a slightly darker atmosphere here, deliberately brightening only the central area of the photo around the sun. I enjoy playing with light like this and being able to influence photos in my own way, showing the world a little differently.

That's all for today. I hope you enjoyed your time with me. Have a nice day everyone, and I'll see you soon!
