A Set of Photos of Tuscan Hills [ENG/PL]

If you ask a landscape photographer what areas in Europe, besides the mountains and sea, are the most photogenic, most of them will probably list the Tuscan hills at the top of the list. For years, I've been following dozens of photographers' profiles, and many of them have photos from this beautiful Italian region in their galleries. What's more, the vast majority of world-class artists specializing in natural landscape photography have been to Tuscany, as evidenced by the beautiful photographs in their portfolios. Even when the light isn't the best, you can still capture a solid-looking digital image here.

Jeśli zapytacie fotografa krajobrazowego, jakie tereny w Europie poza górami i morzem są najbardziej fotogeniczne, to większość z nich zapewne w czołówce zestawienia wymieni toskańskie wzgórza. Od lat śledzę dziesiątki profili fotografów i bardzo wielu z nich posiada w swoich galeriach jakieś zdjęcia z tego pięknego włoskiego regionu. Powiem więcej — zdecydowana większość światowej klasy artystów, specjalizujących się w zdjęciach naturalnych krajobrazów, w Toskanii była, o czym świadczą piękne fotografie w ich portfolio. Nawet kiedy światło nie zagra najlepiej, da się wykonać tutaj solidnie wyglądający cyfrowy obraz.

In many places, the Tuscan countryside looks as if, long ago, someone, through some unknown magical power, transformed the rolling sea into rolling hills. In September, most of these hills turn a straw-colored color.

Tereny Toskanii w wielu miejscach wyglądają, jakby kiedyś, dawno temu, ktoś przy pomocy nieznanej nikomu magicznej mocy zamienił rozbujane morze w pofalowane wzgórza. We wrześniu większość z tych wzgórz przybiera słomiany kolor.

Many of these hills have one thing in common - on their tops the Tuscans built their settlements, villages and even small towns.

Wiele z tych wzgórz łączy jedna rzecz - na ich szczytach mieszkańcy Toskani budowali swoje osady, wioski czy nawet niewielkie miasteczka.

This is very characteristic of this region. Cultivated fields surround the built-up hilltops. A true photogenic delight.

To bardzo charakterystyczne dla tego regionu. Pola uprawne otaczające zabudowane szczyty wzgórz. Prawdziwa fotogeniczna gratka.

You can also find many isolated farms here. Some of them serve as accommodations for tourists. I had the opportunity to stay overnight at one of these agritourism farms. I'll show you its surroundings in another post.

Spotkać można tu również wiele samotnie stojących gospodarstw. Część z nich pełni funkcję noclegu dla turystów. Sam miałem okazję nocować w jednym z takich gospodarstw agroturystycznych. Pokaże Wam kiedyś jego okolicę, w innym poście.

I plan to visit Tuscany again. Next time, however, I'd like to go in the spring. That's when Tuscany looks its most beautiful, when everything begins to bloom, and in the morning, the Tuscan hills are bathed in a delicate mist, heated by the rising sun. I only know this from photos, though.

Mam w swoich planach odwiedzić Toskanię ponownie. Następnym jednak razem chciałbym się tam wybrać wiosną. To wtedy Toskania wygląda najpiękniej, kiedy wszystko zaczyna rozkwitać, a o poranku toskańskie wzgórza toną w rozpalonej wschodzącym słońcem delikatnej mgle. Znam to jednak jedynie ze zdjęć.
