DiscoverBangla #18~ The Mujibnagar Story: Where Bangladesh Draws the Contours of Independence..

Hello Everyone,
Today I am here again with a travel post. Today's post is about a famous place in a small district of Bangladesh. The name of this district is Meherpur district. The famous place here is Mujibnagar Complex in Meherpur district. This place was built a long time ago. The reason for building this place is so that people of today can understand what actually happened in the war in 1971. This place has been built to remember those who gave their lives in this war. So that we do not forget those whose blood made Bangladesh free, which is why it was built in this place. This place is a very famous place in the whole of Bangladesh. I hope you will like today's post.

Then we went to the main area of this tourist spot. The main area here is that there is a map of Bangladesh drawn in this place which shows what actually happened in the war that took place in 1971 and how the Pakistani occupying forces tortured the people. There are some big towers here where you can get a good view of the whole scene because you will not be allowed to enter inside. I first went up to this tower and took a beautiful picture of this whole place and also took a few pictures of myself. You may see that there are some people here who are fighting and some people are fleeing. These are those who fought with the Pakistani occupying forces and those who are fleeing are those who were fleeing from this country to India due to their torture. These things are really touching.

Then I got down from here and moved further forward and tried to take pictures of these things up close. There are many pictures here that bring tears to my eyes. When the Pakistani occupying forces attacked the people of Bangladesh, the people of Bangladesh did not have any weapons. They fought with them only with sticks and strips. Then when they realized that these things worked, they killed the occupying forces in Pakistan and fought with their weapons. Our neighboring country, India, helped us a lot. These pictures really bring back memories of the past. Nowadays, people are forgetting these memories. We are forgetting those people who liberated Bangladesh in exchange for their lives. As you may know, there was a movement in Bangladesh a few days ago, as a result of which the statues of these historical places have been demolished. I hope that these moments will be rearranged again in the coming days.

Then I went from this place to another place from where I took another picture of this place. From that place, a very beautiful picture of this place was coming. Then I came and took pictures of the statues that were near me. If you look at these statues, you will understand how helpless the people were fleeing this country because the Pakistani Howlader army suddenly attacked the people of Bangladesh due to which they had no source to fight.

Then I saw a picture of the Bangladesh flag on a wall, which I liked very much. Then I saw some statues a little far from me, which I zoomed in on, so the quality has deteriorated. Then you will understand a little bit that some people are being trained here to fight. At that time, almost all Bangladeshi people participated in the war. Farmers, students, children, youth, all the people in Bangladesh participated in the war and sacrificed their lives to make Bangladesh independent. Today, in exchange for their blood, we have gained independence from Bangladesh. How many innocent people have left this country, their land and their land?

Then I will take some more pictures of the statues here and I will say one more thing here, which is that the most atrocities were committed on the mothers and sisters of Bengal because they captured them and brutally tortured and raped them. When they wanted to, they tortured the mothers and sisters of Bengal a lot. They killed their sons and daughters in front of their husbands. Many mothers killed their husbands in front of their sisters. They became so violent that people could not sleep at night because of their fear. But even then, the people of Bangladesh did not give up and fought with them for nine long months and liberated this Bangladesh. We are grateful to them for that. Today, we have got this Bangladesh free. In exchange for their blood, we have got Bangladesh back. We salute them.

At that time, the people of Bangladesh were so oppressed that if someone went out to fight, their family members would think that this war might be the last war for them because no one could guarantee that they would return home. The Pakistani occupying forces would especially destroy the Shaheed Minars of Bangladesh because they thought that if we or their Shaheed Minars were destroyed, they would become weak. That is why they first destroyed the Shaheed Minars of Bangladesh and through this they would convince the people of Bengal that we are the strongest.

Then I took some more pictures of the statues here. After taking these pictures, I went outside. When I came outside, I saw an M place where two hands were holding a flag. This means that Bangladesh is independent and we have achieved independence. Then I went to another place, which is called the Memorial. There are a total of 23 pillars in this memorial. This place is actually very beautiful. I hope you like today's post. If you like it, please leave a comment. May you all be well and healthy. See you in the next post.

That's a very sad but very inspiring story of history and how people of Bangladesh fought for their family, country, and independence. I would love to go to that place because you will learn a lot about the history of that country and its people, which will be a memorable visit for sure. 🙂

I never knew this part of Bangladeshi history, it is sad, but also inspiring. I think it is important for us to remember the struggles of the past so we can all move forward in peace. The monument is very unique and informative. Thank you for sharing!
