Not a good idea to go on a trek during winter.

Hello Hivers,

Today I'm sharing some pictures from my trip to Chandarnahan, a beautiful place near Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. This is mainly a pass that connects Shimla district to Kinnaur district. In between, you can see this beautiful place which is called Chandernahan. This place is well known for its beauty.

Lots of people visit this most scenic place during spring and summer. This is one of my favorite places for camping in India. But we went a little out of the box and tried to cover this trek during winter. I know it sounds insane but that's what we did.

It was 31st Dec 2018 and we were all set for this journey. Our main motive was to celebrate the new year in the mountains, away from all the rush and crowd. Trust me, this was the best new year that we celebrated. Ever!

We were 5 people and we started our journey from Shimla and it took us 4 days to complete this track. Well, to be honest, we were not able to complete this track because of the weather and snow. We came back when we were caught in a snowstorm and we were out of food as well. We decided not to go any further because we were all so tired and our clothes and shoes were all wet.

We were not able to complete this track but trust me, we were so happy with what we have seen. I'm looking forward to visiting this beautiful place very soon. But this time I will go during spring.
