An ancient temple made around 10th centaury.

This temple is located in Himachal Pradesh, a state of India situated in the Himalayan range. It is around 84 Kilometers away from the capital called Shimla. This is the temple of Goddess Hatkoti.

1370 meter from the sea level and situated in the bank of Pabbar river in Rohru-Shimla highway, this temple is also known as Mahishasur Mardini Temple.

An amazing arcitecture and the art of craft can be seen here. As per the locals, this temple was built around 10th centuary and it has a two meter high bronze statue of Mahishasura Mardini along with a pylon.

Along with this there is a Shiva temple where there is an ancient Shivling made on stone. The gate is decorated with artistic stones. The ceiling is made of wood, on which images of deities are carved. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple houses the idols of Lakshmi, Vishnu, Durga, Ganesh etc. Apart from this, there are small idols of deities in the courtyard of the temple.
