RE: Fake Pizza Hut Pizza

I believe the pizza you are trying to recreate was called “The Stuffed Crust”. When I worked at a Pizza Hut about twenty-five years ago, the cheese in the crust was mozzarella string cheese. We laid them end to end so the crust had one line of cheese rather than chunks. Also, make sure you seal the folded over dough as well as you can. Your cheese may have just leaked out from the crust. Otherwise, a very good attempt that you made.

Wow, I would have never imagined I would get a comment from someone who has worked at Pizza Hut. Thank you so much. How did you come across my post anyway? 😃
Yes, type of cheese may have been the problem as well, wanted to write about it and forgot.
I tried to seal the crust as much as I could but there was not enough crust 😳
Next time I have to fake it better 😂
I saw the post in my feed when I was over in Ecency. It was pizza and I love pizza so I started reading And realized you were faking Pizza Hut. I might try your dough recipe. I use one now I found on the internet and it gives me a nice thin crust.
I'm open to suggestions 😊 A good crust is highly appreciated. Please drop thr link if it's not secret.
Here it is: https://www.emmafontanella.com/50-cal-pizza. If you don’t have self rising flour, the video has measurements to compensate. I slide the pie with toppings off of a cutting board with corn meal directly into a pizza stone that I put in the oven.
Sometimes I use salsa instead of a pizza sauce.
Thank you for the recipe, I've bookmarked it for the future. It's interesting to see they are using milk, instead of water. I'm going to try it out definitely as I'm curious now :)
I don't have a pizza stone yet, but it's planned, so when the opportunity comes along, I'm going to buy one.
Thanks for the info and have a nice weekend 😀
