Hello folks, this is not actually a guide to go to Boracay but more sharing our experience on our first travel on this beach. Me and my wife visit this place as part of checking one of our goals on our bucket list :)

What is boracay?

Boracay is located on the central part of the Philippines on western Visayas. This is a small island known for its fine white sand and pristine beaches. Best to travel here is during the month of March to May and this paradise is just one flight away from Metro Manila.

How to go here

We actually book our flight months ahead to have better and cheaper deals. Coming from manila, we arrive at Caticlan airport on a good cloudy afternoon. The cost differs but we got our ticket only for 4000php per head (back and forth).

We also booked bus and boat transfer from Caticlan to Boracay to avoid any inconvenience. They will handle your terminal fee and tickets and you dont need to que in line to transfer on a boat going to the island. The travel time to the port is only few mins.

When we arrive at the port, we then transfer to the boat. The travel time also is only few minutes but we are already excited especially since we are now seeing the partial sunset peaking at us.

We actually did not notice that we arrive on the island and we are already excited to go to our hotel but while waiting for the "port to hotel transfer" we then take picture first.

We book on La Carmela, as suggested by our friends and the overnight stay here is cheaper with breakfast included already. There are better hotel on this island but see above our accommodation for few nights

It was already dark when we arrive at our hotel and we just take a rest for a while then we proceed to explore the island. Luckily it was on a weekdays so there are only few people. We then walk along the shore and find a place for dinner and buy some drinks :)

Second Day Morning

We actually wake up early in the morning to have a glimpse of the sea and honestly it did not disappoint, there are only few people, the sand is really white, there are no trash on the ocean and weather too is perfect. Boracay is such a beautiful place.

That morning, since we don't have any plans yet, we just enjoy the view and appreciate the overall beauty of the island

We also try to advance/reserve rent a paddle board to be used in the afternoon

and just take some IG photos while there are no crowds present

We also, take this opportunity to walk and visit stores since our hotel is located on station 2

Second Day Afternoon

We actually did not swim yet in the ocean since its hot so we then plunge on the pool or La Carmela, they have 2 pools, one near the ocean where its like an infinity pool and the other on the back where it is shallow and where kids swim.

My wife actually knows how to float but dont know how to swim but im teaching here some basics so someday soon. she will be a good swimmer:)

It actually have an amazing view so actually for the price of the hotel and this pool, i think its worth it

Willys rock

Before the day ends, me and my wife decided to visit the Willys rock, it is an iconic small island on station 1 and there is a grotto installed. It is walking distance but station 1 and 2 are kinda far so we rode a tricycle to visit the place

We also take some pictures while we are there and the sand on station 1 is more pure and white than station 2.

Since the sun is starting to set, we just sit on the seashore and wait for the sunset:)

And lastly, the sunset, we actually visit Boracay for the sand and beach and this, this right here, is a bonus already and surely ill visit Boracay again
