To shop for my friend's sister's wedding
According to Hindu religious tradition, it is inevitable for girls to wear conch on their hands during marriage.
After marriage they have to wear this shankha for the whole life as long as the husband lives. So it was one of the main tools of wedding shopping.
That's why a few days ago, I, my friend (the brother of the sister who will be married) and one of the friend's cousins got together to buy conch shells at this conch store. It was very close to Sealdah station.
First we three got down at Sealda station by train and then after walking for some time we came to this shop.
This was my friend's cousin's previous shop. After coming to the shop, we were shown different types of shells. That day I first got to know in detail how many varieties of conch there are. Anyway we were there for about 30 minutes and were shown many different shells. From there our uncle who accompanied us bought two pairs of shells for Didi's wedding. I went to the conch gallery and saw hundreds of conch shells which I really liked. I have never seen so many conchs before. On that day, I had a new experience when I went to buy didi's wedding rings. I got to know a lot of new things, I was able to see.
Thanks for sharing and i wish the couple happy married life..
